The commencement ceremony for the Class of 2018 will be this evening in the Northome School Gymnasium at 7:00 p.m.

Great job by the Bulldog Track and field athletes at the Subsection meet yesterday.  We currently have 3 subsection champions and 11 athletes advancing to the section meet next weekend in Dilworth.  Congrats to Sophie Eitenmiller for winning the 400 m dash and to Adnew Stuven for winning both the 1600 m and 800 m runs.  In additions, Clyde Jensen advanced by placing 2nd in the high jump and setting a new Bulldog and Northome/Kelliher record by clearing 6' 1".  Alex Fahey is advancing in the 200 m (2nd place) and the discus (4th place).  Adnew is also advancing in the long jump (4th place).  Zoey Mills also advances in the 3200 m (2nd).  The girls 4 x 800 m relay team of Trinity Schuh-Dietrich, Terra Schuh-Dietrich, Zoey, Paige Hildebrandt, and Sadie Stroeing are also advancing (2nd place), Monica Johnson also advances in the shot put (4th).  Also earning medals but not placing were the boys 4 x 800 (Cameron Eckstrom, Peter Schneider, Josh Hanna, Jayce Mostad) 6th, the boys 4 x 200 and the 4 x 100  (Ethan Merrill, Dennis King, Hunter Meland, Titus Forseen) both 4th, the girls 4 x 200 (Selena Murray, Paige, Kenna Cook, Sophie) 4th, Alex 6th in the 400, Trinith in the 6th in the 800, The girls 4 x 400 (Deja Palmer, Trinity, Terra, Sophie) 3rd, the boys 4 x 400 (Alex, Cameron, Clyde, Adnew) 5th, and Cameron 6th in the shot put.  Placing at the meet but not earning a medal were Logen Patch 7th in the 110 hurdles, Kenna 8th in the 100 hurdles, Sadie 8th in the 1600, the girls 4 x 100 (Selena, Kenna, Regan, Monica) 7th, Paige 8th in the 400, Monica 8th in the 300 hurdles, Gretchen Larsen 7th in the 3200, Kenna 8th in the triple jump.  The boys also set 18 season bests at the meet.

Clearance check-out forms are available in the office for students in grades 7-11. Students will need to get signatures from all classroom teachers, the library, your coaches, Corey White for the technology portion, and the office for lunch account totals. Students will also need to clean their lockers before returning the completed forms to the office on Friday before participating in the day’s events.

Mustang basketball has t-shirts for sale in the office; the cost is $15. Come check them out!

All items in the locker room, both staff and student, must be cleaned out by the end of this week. Any school locks should also be turned in to Mr. Matthees before the student clearance form will be signed. Any leftover items will be disposed of.

Volleyball players, grades 8th grade and up: summer practices will begin June 4th and run Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:00 a.m - 10:00 a.m. this summer.

Rachel Fahey is offering piano lessons again this summer, beginning June 11th for students grades kindergarten and up. Cost for each week’s half hour lesson is $9. Registration forms with more information are available in the office. Space is limited, so register as soon as you can!

Reminder volleyball players: there are two camps this summer; registration for the free grades 6-12 BSU camp can be done online, via email, text, or phone call. The pacesetter camp has registration forms in the office. See Coach Brittany with any questions or for more information.
