Daniel Ross Kerr
May 31, 1943 - November 22, 2017
Daniel Ross Kerr, 74, passed away on Wednesday, November 22nd at his home after a lengthy illness. Daniel was born May 31, 1943 in Bloomington, IN and was the son of Fred and Margaret “Nell” (Grape) Kerr.
He is survived by his daughter, Katrina Kerr, of Bloomington, IN. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters: Barbara “Bobbi” Mathis, Linda Sowders, and Carolyn Ayers.
Daniel was a good father, friend, and neighbor. He loved helping others and offering his impressive handyman skills. Listening to his vast music collection was his favorite pastime, along with watching football, auto-racing, and movies.
Before Daniel fully retired, he enjoyed many years of semi-retirement buying and selling vehicles. Prior to this, he was a foreman at Otis Elevator.
Per Daniel’s request, there will be no funeral service.
Katrina, Dan was everything you said and more. He was an excellent friend, always selfless and most humorous. He had a spirit that could conquer mountains, even if he lost this last climb. I am so sorry, Katrina: your father will be most sorely missed.
Katrina, I’m sorry for your loss, I understand how much you meant to one another. Your father could not have been shown more love or received more comfort than you have provided. I am certain he more than appreciated it, and loved you wholeheartedly. You’re in my thoughts, in my heart and in my prayers.
My heart goes out to Katrina for the loss of her dad. Dan was a great friend of mine he will be deeply missed.
My heart goes out to Katrina during this time. Losing a parent leaves a hole that can never be filled. Uncle Danny was a quiet man that kept mainly to himself but, dearly loved his daughter. I pray for healing and peace during this time.
