Pre-release Checklist
Up to 6 wks before instruction, make sure to review and proofread all parts of your course:
- Syllabus
- Is your grading scale accurate?
- F2F (Face-to-Face) Session
- Are your lesson plans ready and aligned to your course site(s), syllabus, and other documents?
- Course Site (if applicable)
- Are your dates and times correct?
- Do all links (external, PDF, DOC) and videos work?

- Double check roster for number of registered students
- Double check that all the tools you would like to use have been added
- Double check that you have imported content from the prior version of the course. Make sure that all tools on your new course match the old course prior to importing.
- Synchronous Session (if applicable, Zoom, etc.)
- Refresh/familiarize yourself with how to use the tool
- Ask someone to help you do a test run. Check video, sound, display, and other functionalities
- Prepare a lesson plan for first session.
- Spend 1st half of first session on housekeeping and technical issues.

- Write clearly
- Use good semantic structure
- Use color wisely
- Be careful with data tables
- Ensure links are descriptive
- Provide appropriate alt text
- Caption & provide transcripts for media
- Offer an alternative version

- Download (free) software such as Office suite (i.e. MS Office, LibreOffice), anti-virus software, PDF reader, Firefox (best web browser for Laulima and Wordpress), Chrome, and make sure any extensions and plugins are up to date
