CTAC’s 2019-20 Performing Arts Series – Tickets on sale now!
Tickets for Crooked Tree Arts Center’s 2019-20 Performing Arts Series are on sale now. CTAC Members and Non-Members will be able to purchase tickets to any one of our great performing arts events. Tickets are $25 Members, $35 Non-Members, and $10 Students, and events take place in Crooked Tree Arts Center’s theater, unless otherwise noted.
“If I had a crystal ball, I would see our 2019-20 season bringing sell-out crowds just like last season,” said Chris Brown, member of CTAC’s Performing Arts Committee. “Our committee has worked hard to make another smash season, which kicks off in just a few months. I’m looking forward to working our concerts and hearing rave reviews again.”
The 2019-20 Performing Arts Series lineup follows below:
Paul Vornhagen Quartet – Friday, October 4 – 7:30 p.m.
Paul Vornhagen is an accomplished jazz saxophonist, flutist, and vocalist who has won Detroit Music Awards on six separate occasions and has toured throughout the United States and parts of Canada and France. He’s accompanied by piano, bass, and drums.
Alan Turner – Friday, November 1 – 7:30 p.m.
Alan Turner’s rich baritone vocals and mainstream country songs speak of loves gained and lost, often times with a sly twist of humor mixed in. His Steel Horse Band has been thrilling crowds with a distinctly high energy country and pumping rock ‘n roll sound.
The Nutcracker – Saturday, December 14 – 3:00 & 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, December 15 – 3:00 p.m.

Tickets: $30 Adults/$5 Students/$50 Reserved
Celebrate the holiday season with the ballet dancers of CTAC’s School of Ballet. With original choreography, this dynamic and beautiful show has become a Northern Michigan tradition. All proceeds benefit the CTAC Dance Program.
Rhythm Society Orchestra – Saturday, January 4, 2020 – 7:30 p.m.
The Rhythm Society Orchestra is a true, vintage 15-piece big band swing band, headed by crooner Paul King, which authentically re-creates the music and presentations of the swing era (‘30s and ‘40s) with an infusion of ‘Rat Pack’ material from the ‘50s.
Cabin Fever with The Easy Picks and The Dirk Kroll Band – Saturday, February 1, 2020 – 7:30 p.m.
Beat the winter blues listening to the hot sounds of Northern Michigan musicians The Easy Picks and Metro-Detroit sounds from The Dirk Kroll Band.
Limerick – Saturday, March 7, 2020 – 7:30 p.m.
Traditional Irish band of multi-instrumentalists out of Lansing that incorporates the sounds of bluegrass and Americana music, featuring banjo, mandolin, guitar, tin whistle, fiddle, upright bass, bagpipes, and percussion.
