Mrs. Tartaglione

I am so excited to be your second grade teacher!  I am looking forward
to getting to know all of you when school begins.  I also feel that it is
important for students to know a little bit about their teacher so they feel
as comfortable as possible in the new classroom setting.

To begin with, I live in Kingston, MA.   I live with my husband and two beautiful children, Elise and Andrew.

I was born and raised in Weymouth and I worked as a second
grade teacher in Weymouth for three years before coming to Dennett.  I look forward
to coming to Plympton each day as I enjoy the beautiful scenery your town
has to offer (cranberry bogs).

Also, I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from
Framingham State University.  During my first year as a second grade teacher I
began taking classes toward earning my Master's Degree in Elementary
Education as well, and I graduated in June of 2005.

In my spare time I play with my children, go for walks with our dog (Penny) and I love reading.

I look forward to camping in the summer and taking our canoe or wave runner out into local the waterways.

My favorite subject to teach is reading because literacy is the most
valuable gift in the world.  I also love teaching math and playing fun math
games to help students to connect with the concepts.

Upon entering the classroom I expect only one thing from my students,
RESPECT.  If we all have respect for one another we can begin to build a
team of learners.  With teamwork we can all succeed!

Mrs. Shaheen

This will be my eleventh year teaching second grade at the Dennett.  This is
a wonderful school and I love working here! I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in
History and Elementary Education as well as my Master of Education Degree
from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.  I continue to take additional
graduate courses to stay on top of the latest teaching practices.  I have
truly always loved learning, reading, and writing, and my goal is to pass my
enthusiasm on to my students, so that each student finds learning to be an
adventure. When I'm not in school, I like to spend time with friends and family.

I have a son name Owen and a daughter named Ella.

I enjoy reading, jogging, shopping, and going out to eat.

I also enjoy snowboarding, going to the beach and traveling.
