Language to Include in your Student-to-Student Listserv Email:

To comply with Harvard’s use of name policies, please sign your email with the full name of the student organization you are representing. Students and student organizations must adhere to the “Patents, Trademarks, and Use of Name Regulations,” as outlined in section 7.15 of the Medical Education Student Handbook and the Master’s Student Handbook. These guidelines require that the word “student” is part of the organization’s name and that all event communications include the following line: “The views expressed at this event belong to the individual speakers and do not represent those of Harvard Medical School or Harvard School of Dental Medicine.”

Student-to-Student Listserv Review and Approval Process:

1.         Draft and submit your email to STUDENTSTOALLSTUDENTS@listserv.med.harvard.edu as you would like it to appear in the final email.

                                                        i.         The views expressed at this event belong to the individual speakers and do not represent those of Harvard Medical School or Harvard School of Dental Medicine.

2.         Your email will be sent to OSA staff to review

a.          If your email fits the guidelines above, your message will be approved, and no further action is required.

b.         If your message requires revisions to adhere to the guidelines, you will be asked to make edits and re-send to the student-to-student listserv for approval.

c.          If your email violates any of the above guidelines, you will be notified by OSA staff.

Listserv emails are reviewed during regular working hours, Monday – Friday between the hours of 9am-5pm. Please note: if you submit an email to the student-to-student listserv after 5pm or anytime on a weekend or holiday, your email will not be reviewed for distribution until the next business day.
