A list of modules made by first and third parties
Q: How do you "roll over the body"?
A: Roll a d20. Try to roll your Luck score or lower. That's a Luck check/roll the body roll. Keep in mind zero levels don't get to check; they die at 0HP.
Q: How long is a turn?
A: 10 minutes! Keep this in mind when looking at spell results.
Q: When do PCs level up?
A: Whenever the judge says they do. The RAW recommends leveling to 1, regardless of XP, for any survivors of a funnel. Some people allow leveling in the funnel, on the spot, if a PC makes 10XP.
>Whether you want to have PCs level up instantaneously upon gaining requisite XP or make them wait until they are safe or even make them carouse is a matter of taste.
Q: What is best in life?
A: Crush your enemies. See them driven before you. Hear the lamentations of their women.
Q: What's the rule for _____?
A: You are the game judge, so make something up! But later you can find the info hidden by GG in a spell result or something weird like that. DCC, bitches. For instance, invisibility rules hidden in spell and mighty deed descriptions.
Q: Do halflings give 2 Luck to other PCs, or just 1?
A: Two Luck.
Source: Word of god. http://www.goodman-games.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=85192#p85192
Q: What is the deed die added to?
A: All attack rolls and damage rolls. Roll it when first attacking, and don't re-roll it when rolling damage; just add it to your damage total.
>Whether you roll the die more than once for separate attacks in the same round (i.e. after hitting level 5) is kinda moot, but go with whatever is easiest for your players.
Q: Do dwarves get a deed on their shield bash?
A: Probably not, unless they haven't used their deed on their main attack(s). This one is contentious.
There were a few g+ posts about it, but they’re gone now. The Judge will have to make a ruling!
Q: How do I get a Goodman Games forum account to work?
A: send an email to info@goodman-games.com
Q: What's a good funnel?
A: See above, but here is a list of funnels. Haven't heard of a bad funnel yet. http://ravencrowking.blogspot.ca/2015/12/all-funnels.html
Q: What does one use for a GM's screen?
A: Official ones have been in the wild for a while now. If your question is about customizable screen materials, ask in a general RPG community or at your FLGS. Or Staples.
Q: Can I choose any spell result?
A: Generally, no, you go with the result you rolled. But some spells specifically allow you to choose lower results. Mercurial magic gets into this a bit too.
Q: Where can I buy weird dice?
A: All the places.
You can also use the app Crawlers' Companion from Purple Duck (see community links).
Q: What patrons are out there?
A: Well, that isn't clear at this time (there are many), but modules with new patrons are listed out here (edit if you know new ones): https://docs.google.com/document/d/13xV5z0TCCBNM3NWbBIFSsqMdJC-zfMBl5bN9aXAQGPU/edit
Q: What happens when you roll a natural 20 on a spell check?
A: Add double your level instead of 1x your level to the spell check total.
Q: How does surprise work?
A: p77 (4th printing) says:
But first, determine surprise. If the characters were not aware of their opponents (or vice versa), they are surprised. Being aware of an opponent means seeing them, making a check to hear them approach, or otherwise noticing them through magical or mundane means. Surprised characters do not act in the first round of combat. After the first round they act normally on their initiative count.
Q: What has been made for this game?
A: Find or add stuff at

We Hate Bards: Shudder Mountains:
-1) MCC is DCC too!
1) Post about DCC/MCC-specific stuff or you won't survive the funnel. If I think something is generic RPG talk or questions or a tool usable with any RPG, I will delete it.
Saying your generic RPG question is to help you run a DCC session will not save your post. Ask in a generic RPG forum.
Here are some topics that are almost always generic/off-topic and could be discussed in a general RPG forum:
"Thanks for letting me join" posts
DM tips
Mapping
GM stationary/aids like binders and paper
Problem players
Dice that are not in the DCC die chain
Other Goodman Games Products
General D&D stuff
Questions about d20-style games
How to play RPGs online
Inspirational photos/vids/music/bad jokes/cats behind Judge shield pics, ect. almost always get the ax.
2) Make posts of substance. Make posts that are longer than one sentence if you can.
3) This is a privately-run fan community. I never have contact with the company about this community. GG has never tried to tell me how to run this thing, so I alone am to blame if you don't like being moderated here. Please don't waste Harley's time with questions about this place.
4) If someone posts a book pic from the latest Kickstarter, they win the consumerism medal. Yay. Everyone else gets to leave their pics in the form of comments in the winning post.
5) Don't use the hashtags as an excuse to make a trite joke. Fer instance: posting funny pics under Mighty Deeds, etc.
6) Also, don’t try to game hashtags.
7) Don't fight. Don't cause drama. PM me if you have any issues. My email is claytonian at the gmail.coms if you need it.
8) This is not the place to post about AD&D nostalgia, Metamorphisis Alpha, Judges Guild, or non-DCC products.
The Goodman Forums are here:
http://www.goodman-games.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=64
9) Appendix N is a huge part of DCC and in that context talking about it here is great, but if you just want to post a pic of the latest book you bought, go to the MeWe group or forum dedicated to that.
10) Music at the DCC Music community only.
11) Please group photos together in albums and make only one post per event or whatever. Upload them to a private circle first to make sure they are in focus, not sideways, etc. Talk about your photos; make it an actual session report.
12) If you want to organize con games through the community (using #IRL), or report how they went (#sessionreport), that's fine. We’re not here to help you get a hotel room at a con.
13) Lots of people ask for advice on Sailors. Maybe you should do a search first before you rehash that question.
14) Don't make in-jokes that only two people in the community will get as a post. Such is OK in the comments of a post tho. Newbs don't know why you are posting that pic of a bacon wizard. Maybe take that to a private post?
15) No NSFW imagery/link previews. Warn people if linking to such.
16) If you want to promote a product, here are the rules:
• It has to have DCC-specific rules and the logo should be on the cover.
• Never promote without the title. Also say if it's coming soon. Talk about it at least a little if you are going to do a preview. Do a blurb.
• Once it's published, you get one post to tell everyone. Make it count.
• In the case of Kickstarters that have not closed, you can post updates, but please don't do it too often. Letting people know that the Kickstarter is closing soon is a legit reason to post.
• You may post about your product again if it's on sale or a new platform (website or in print), or a stretch goal is met.
• Never post more than once about an upcoming product within 24 hours.
• You will not be posting about rankings on OBS or reviews you got on OBS. Sorry, too crass and too petty.
• In general, don't be crass. Let your work speak for itself. Make good things and have confidence in them.
• You get one post per product to ask for artists/writers/editors if you need them, but please consider asking in communities set up for RPG artists and writers to find each other.
17) Keep in mind I'm moderating a community of many people, so please be conscientious of all these dumb rules and cut me all due slack. Almost anyone can join. The tradeoff of that is that spam +1s will happen. Report spam profiles to MeWe if you want, but don't worry much as new members' posts have to be approved.
18) Use forum-like etiquette and conduct. For instance, try not to post more than once in a short window (why not combine posts if possible?). Consider if this is the right forum for your post. Kill your ego and be considerate.
