Does your private lesson occur on Halloween? Since we opted to stay open on October 31, we will honor your request to reschedule! We have updated our policies to include holidays as an excused absence. Here is an excerpt from the policies page on our website:
Each COMPREHENSIVE or LESSONS ONLY student is permitted ONE excused absence per semester.
- An excused absence is defined as an illness, injury, emergency, or holiday that prevents the student from attending the lesson at the scheduled time and that you notify the teacher more than 24 hours in advance. Travel, field trips, appointments, school events, etc. are NOT excused absences.
- Any absence after the first absence is considered UNEXCUSED and will not be eligible for a make up, even if the absence meets the excused absence definition. The teacher is not obligated to make up more than one lesson per semester.

Meet the Instruments Workshop
If you’ve been thinking about adding music to your child’s education, our Meet the Instruments Course is the way to go! Children will be introduced to the instruments taught here at The Pittsburgh Music Academy and the Suzuki Philosophy with the help of hands-on exploration and our wonderful faculty members. Parents are an essential part of the Suzuki method and are asked to attend along with their children.
