CLASS DESCRIPTION: This class will explore the classic IEW units such as key word outlining and writing, story sequence outlining, writing from pictures, fact outlines, summarizing a reference, etc. using structural and stylistic tools learned throughout the year. This class will also include two oral reports and two poetry units. The students earn “Mrs. Greenebacks” as an incentive to do extra work and can spend them at the auction at the end of each semester.
HOMEWORK: Typically, there will be a writing assignment due each week. A syllabus will be sent via email at the beginning of each semester, outlining the homework for that semester.
QUIZZES:There will be 4 to 5 in-class vocabulary quizzes given throughout the year.
