PAUPER MASTERS ONLINE

Player's Rulebook

---PRESENTATION---

Pauper Masters is a non-profit organization, with events that have taken place in Rio de Janeiro since November 2017, and that is expanding its horizons to the world of Magic Online (MTGO).

Within the Rio's Pauper scenario, we are a competitive event, and we try to keep in mind the discernment that the player is expected to be aware of the game's conduct, in addition to the necessary knowledge of the rules of the event before, during and after its participation.

Finally, although we made clear the competitive content of the event, we emphasize that our main priority is fun and enjoyment by our competitors, team members and spectators and we count on the collaboration of the community as a whole for this objective.

--- DISCLAIMER ---

The Pauper Masters organization team has the right to:

A) Make changes to this Rulebook as needed, in order to make a better and more fluid event.

B) Make a print screen of Discord screens and / or conversations by participants and / or collaborators on MTGO or other platforms exclusively for the purpose of resolving conflicts that may occur during the circuit.

C) Publicize nicknames and decklists of players who qualify for Pauper Masters Online or who receive the Pauper Masters Qualifier registration through one of our partner events.

1) --- BEHAVIOR RULES ---

We remind all participants that, regardless of any unforeseen events that may occur during the event, it is PROHIBITED to change the decklist during one of the events' rounds, even if for unforeseen reasons some rounds of the event may need to be postponed to another day .

4) --- ROOM CREATION RULES ---

Pauper Masters Qualifier events start every last Saturday of the month, at 13:00 (GMT -3.0)

All event rooms must be created in the PAUPER TOURNAMENT PRACTICE ROOM, using the following pattern:

[MASTERS] R1 vs OPPONENT

The rooms must allow spectators so that the Streaming team and the event organization can have access to it.

Players who do not leave their room open to spectators will receive a Warning.

It is preferable that the players agree among themselves who will create the room. If your room is created but your opponent does not respond to your messages or does not enter the room you created, notify the administration as early as possible so that we can try to resolve the issue.

It is RECOMMENDED and PREFERABLE that players add their opponents as friends and create the game room allowing only friends to join the game, in order to avoid the countless players in the Tournament Practice area who enter any open room.

Players who create separate rooms, and where one does not enter the other's room within the NO-SHOW-TIME deadline will receive WARNING and their result will be declared a tie (0-0).

5) --- ROUND RULES ---

All rounds will have a maximum time of ONE hour (on the clock of the round at the Cards Realm website) to be played.

If all matches end before the one hour period, the next one will start earlier.

Matches that do not end within ONE HOUR (On the clock on the round) will be considered a tie (1-1), if the match is more than 3 minutes in length, summing the clock of both players, both Competitors will receive a Warning for starting the match outside the estimated time.

The administration reserves the right to extend or not to extend the period of the rounds by a few minutes if any game is being completed or has been interrupted due to any technical question from the players.

After pairing the round, players will have up to TEN MINUTES (on the clock on the round on the Cards Realm website) to introduce themselves to their opponents. Players who do not submit within that time will have a 0-2 loss.

It is necessary that the player whose opponent does not attend must have the room created and open when manifesting his opponent's non-attendance. In the absence of this requirement, the player will receive a Warning.

Players who do not present themselves to their opponents within the deadline will be requested by the event team, and in case of no response, they will be dropped from the event and will not be entitled to any refund regarding the registration fee.

If a player is disconnected from the MTGO during an ongoing game and the program gives his or her opponent a victory, it is recommended that the winner take a screenshot of the victory, as a guarantee.

The Pauper Masters team is not responsible for problems in the match caused by technical problems on MTGO such as bugs and crashes, just as they are not responsible for failures of Internet connection by any player.

Upon completion of the game, BOTH players must present the result on the Cards Realm tournament page.

If there is any disagreement in the outcome of any game, the Administration will contact both players on Discord so that they can resolve the disagreement.

If there is no peaceful resolution between the players regarding the disagreement of the result, the administration will request a print screen of the game history of both players (Located in Settings> Game History) to be able to give the resolution based on the prints received from both players.

On this occasion, if one of the players for some reason is giving wrong information about the result, he will receive a Warning.

Players who are in disagreement with the result of the match will have FIVE MINUTES to present their screenshots and other evidence that will lead to the resolution of the issue.

Please note that it is BOTH players' responsibility to submit the screenshot.

If players do not present conclusive proofs within this period, the result will be set to 0-0 and both players will receive a warning.

The Pauper Masters organization is not responsible for any and all conversations between players through private messages.
