Chess Events to be organised under KCCA

KCCA comes under the jurisdiction of Rapid Chess Association of Satara (RCAS) under Maharashtra Chess Association (MCA), affiliated to All India Chess Federation (AICF).

Introduction

To organise a FIDE Rating Tournament, Karad Chess must follow the Guidelines of MCA and AICF, get recommendation from District Association and accordingly accept the Terms and Conditions laid by these bodies as per the Guidelines of FIDE. Also, it must comply with the Rules and Regulations for organising such events.

- Protest, if any, against the decision of the Chief Arbiter shall be made in writing with a protest fee of Rs.3000/- within 30 minutes of the occurrence of the incident.

- Any Fair Play Violation complaint needs to be lodged within 3 hours with a complaint fee of Rs. 5000.

The protest/complaint fee will be refunded if the appeal is upheld.

Sub-section

Organisers of National / International Championships / Tournaments shall pay to the Federation recognition fee at the rates given below along with the bid form in advance. The application along with the Recognition fee shall be sent four months in advance with a detailed proposal and estimated budget to the AICF Secretariat.

Any Rating Tournament conducted along with Intl.Tmt. 20,000/-

(This includes a FIDE fee for 150 players. For the rest of the players Rs.100 per player will be charged. However, 10% of Prize money will not be charged. All other Rules for FIDE Rating tournaments shall apply).

Any FIDE Rating (Swiss):

Entry Fee should not exceed 0.5% of the total Prize Money if the tournament is conducted within 5 days. Entry fee should not exceed 1% of the total Prize Money if the tournament is conducted more than 5 days.

AICF Recognition Fee - 10% of the total prize fund subject to a minimum of Rs.5000/- and FIDE Rating Fee including promotion on AICF website.

Rs.25,000/- (which represents fees for only 150 players and for each participant over and above 150 players organiser should pay Rs.100/- per entry.)

To attract players from lower strata of society, AICF shall encourage FIDE Rated tournaments without cash prizes.

For such tournaments where cash prizes are not awarded and only trophies are awarded to the winners, the entry fee should not exceed Rs.250/-.

Such organisers shall pay AICF Rs.20,000/-, Rs.100 per player over and above 150 players, Rs.5000/- towards tournament promotion through AICF website.

The above fees are irrespective of the number of days and for any open or rating restricted tournaments.

FIDE rating (Swiss):

Entry fee should not exceed 0.5% of the prize money if the tournament is for 5 days or less and entry can be 1% of prize money if the tournament is of more than 5 days. MCA recognition should be 5% of the total prize fund subject to a minimum of Rs. 5,000. (This is up to Rs. 10 lakhs prize fund, above Rs. 10 lakhs it will be 3%).

Open state tournaments:

Recognition fee should be 5% of the prize money or a minimum of Rs. 5,000/-

General Chief Arbiter and Deputy Chief Arbiters remuneration is based on mutual understanding. But they must get the following minimum fee + Free Lodging/Boarding & Accomodation.
