Melody Ann Poorman
March 22, 1956 - January 27, 2018
The family of Melody Ann (Parrish) Poorman mourns her passing. Born March 22, 1956 to Charles Parrish and Mary Ellen Miller in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Entered into eternal rest at home in Spencer, Indiana surrounded by loving family.
Her memory will be cherished by sons, Travis Cheeseman and his wife, Jenny Murley, Toby Cheeseman and his wife, Georgiana; daughter, Maryann Bixler; siblings, Chuck and Larry Parrish and Diane Helms; grandchildren, Kristen Collis, Coleton and Tanner Cheeseman.
She is reunited in the presence of our Heavenly Father with both parents; brothers, Eddie, Herschel and Stevie Parrish; grandchildren, Jerry, Emily and Brooklynn Cheeseman.
Friends will gather and reminisce from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. February 10, 2018 at Pleasant Hill Community Church, 6261 Pleasant Hill Road, Spencer. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Melody Ann Poorman will be 3:00 p.m. Please join the family in sharing a meal following the service at the church.
Through the tears I try to smile by thinking of the memories of all the good times we shared. Even though we were not blood, we were still sisters in heart. My listener, confidant, and friend. I’ll love and miss you forever.
Parrish family so sorry for the loss of Melody. We spent many good times together when we were younger!! Looks just like her beautiful MOM. Prayers to all of you again on your loss!!

Mother I miss you so much. My heart is aching and tears still fall. It’s now like a new world but no talking at all. I close my eyes to see you there. I tried to call but you wasn’t here. I held you till your last breath you gave. It hurt me so bad took me to another place. You are the best mom 3 could have , We love you so much Mary, Toby and Trav. We will see you again this I promise you, Until then we will keep you alive while remembering you. We love you to the end of the earth as you told us.
