How can you help a person who is addicted to alcohol?
There are different therapies available for people who are suffering from alcohol abuse.
Individual therapy Help the person change alcohol abuse-related thoughts, works on triggers, and motivate the person to change.
Group therapy Involve many members with the same problem and they encourage and motivate each other to change and work on their alcohol abuse. It is often led by a professional.
Medications Used for symptom management, especially withdrawal symptoms. Mostly paired with individual or group therapy for effective outcomes. |
