Welcome to the virtual meeting of the Lake Highlands Group of Alcoholics Anonymous.

My name is _________________ I am an alcoholic. My Sobriety date is _________________ .

1. Read Preamble: Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

2. Read at All Meetings: This is a closed meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous. In support of AA's singleness of purpose, attendance at closed meetings is limited to persons who have a desire to stop drinking. If you think you have a problem with alcohol, you are welcome to attend this meeting. We ask that when discussing our problems, we confine ourselves to those problems as they relate to alcoholism.

3. I have asked  _________________ to read How it Works; I have asked  _________________to read the 12 traditions. Thank you for reading.

4. We have a custom of offering a virtual desire chip to anyone who would like to try our way of life for one 24 hr period; to those coming to their first meeting or anyone returning to the fellowship. (Turn host video off to display chip. Turn back on for meeting)

5. A sponsor is a member with experience who guides you through the program. Does anyone need a sponsor today? (if anyone accepts a desire chip or sponsor ask men/women members to add phone numbers in chat)

6. Is anyone celebrating monthly or annual increments of sobriety today? (Acknowledge increments and ask celebrants to post their dates on the website and celebrate at the group on the last Saturday of each month)

7. Is anyone visiting Lake Highlands who would like to be recognized?

8. Ask for a moment of silence followed by the Serenity Prayer to open the meeting.

9. Present topic or speaker. (For discussion meetings, assure topic is from AA literature and focused on solution to alcoholism. If meeting is large, ask members to limit their sharing, giving everyone a chance to share)

10. Near the end of meeting post website URL and group address in chat window:

Ask members to contribute on the website via PayPal or Venmo or send checks by mail to the group for our 7th tradition. Every AA group ought to be fully self-supporting declining outside contributions.

11. Read Current Announcements: (Separate page posted and updated regularly on the website)

12. Close the meeting with the Lord's Prayer.

13. Leave the zoom room open for the meeting after the meeting. Assign a new host if you must leave quickly.
