Rider University-Instant Decision Day

ATTENTION JUNIORS AND SENIORS: Join us on December 5th, at 6:30pm for a college workshop in the HSE student center. See your counselor for more details.

HS East is offering a FREE SAT FULL LENGTH PRACTICE TEST on Saturday, January 26th from 9am-12:45pm. Interested students should see their counselor for registration information.

Seniors who have a college application deadline of January 1st need to submit their paperwork to their counselor by December 12th to ensure delivery by 12/21/18. 

All students who are enrolled in Option 2 Personal Finance for Semester 1 must complete the course by Monday, January 7 in order to receive credit. The Final Exam will be given on Thursday, January 10, and Friday, January 11th during Period 2 in the Lecture Hall. Students will be given passes in homeroom on the day of the exam.  Please make sure you check the day and date on the pass.  Any student who needs a study guide for the exam, please stop in the Guidance Office and pick one up.

CLUB NEWS

ANY SENIOR BOY OR GIRL who is playing in the 9TH ANNUAL STUDENT FACULTY BASKETBALL GAME, you MUST attend a brief but MANDATORY meeting after school on Tuesday, December 4th in Room E5B.  The game is Friday, Dec. 7th.

COME OUT AND WATCH THE STUDENT FACULTY BASKETBALL GAME on Friday, December 7th at 6:00pm.

Tickets are only $3.00.  You will also have the chance to win various prizes from our school and local

merchants. There will be door prizes as well as a gift auction.  Come see your favorite teachers play

against the Seniors!  See any basketball player or basketball coach for tickets.

TR EAST SAFETY TEAM!  Stop by the Safety Office to pick up your letter regarding our Holiday Project. You may also drop off your donation to Mr. Kenny or Mr. Kayler.

Want to Sing? Want to Dance?  Want to perform on the Toms River East Stage? Then come out and audition for OKLAHOMA!, The Eastside Theatre Musical!!!  Come Today and tomorrow at 2:00 in the Student Center for mandatory auditions.  Hope to see you there!

The Key CLUBS next meeting will be in W10 on December 6th after school. Current and new members welcome! 

There will be a SKI/SNOWBOARD meeting on WEDNESDAY, Dec. 5th at 1:45 in Room E21. This meeting is mandatory for anyone attending our trip to Vermont as rooming assignments will be discussed.  Final Payments are also due!

Please join us for FAMILY CODE NIGHT and ENGINEERING NIGHT on Wednesday, December 5th, at 6:00 in the Media Center.  Our “Raiders-ShortCircuts” will present their work and conduct demonstration with their FTC robots.  There will also be fun parent-child teams competing in code puzzles and challenges.  No coding experience needed and it’s FREE!  Student volunteers will be available for support. Don’t miss it!

HO-HO-HO!  Our JINGLE BELL RUN is happening on December 19th and 20th!  Students have the opportunity to earn free prom bids, yearbooks, gift cards, and much more! - Roth

Need a little help with your college entrance essays? Having difficulty with that research paper? Or would you just like another set of eyes to proofread your assignments?  The WRITING CENTER provides tutors to help with all types of writing assignments.  The WRITING CENTER will be open every Tuesday and Thursday after school in W-20.  Ask your English teacher for further details. - Schindler

The ROBOTICS TEAM will be meeting every TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY in Room N3A after school.  Come join us anytime.

The COMPUTER CLUB will be meeting every MONDAY in Room S21 after school.  Come join anytime!!!

ATTENTION TEACHERS!

The COFFEE CORNER IS OPEN!!!  Our doors open at 7:15 in Room E16.  Keurig coffee is available at all times, and fresh brewed coffee is available by 7:30.  $1.00 for coffee or tea, and 50 cents for any snacks (doughnut, muffin, etc.)  Our students work the coffee shop periods 3 & 6 and will greet you at the door and check you out at the register, but we are open ALL DAY so any time the door is open just COME ON IN and help yourself! Please leave money on register or in tip jar when students not working.  Stay tuned for upcoming lunch specials.
