Dear Chair and Members of the Board,

The most effective boards I’ve worked with all shared one thing in common: they were able to focus on judgment, not logistics. That clarity didn’t happen by accident, it was the result of strong operational support, disciplined communication, and an Executive Director who ensured that priorities moved forward with consistency.

My career has been built around supporting boards and leading member-driven organizations where execution, consistency, and judgment are critical. As Executive Director of the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys, I served as the primary partner to the Board of Directors, helping translate governance priorities into disciplined execution across programming, member engagement, communications, and operations.

The Executive Director’s responsibility is not simply to manage activity, but to create confidence; confidence that the Board’s priorities are being advanced, that programs are delivered at a high standard, that members are engaged, and that sponsors are well supported. This comes from strong systems, clear communication, and reliable communication.

In addition to my executive leadership experience, I have advised other member-driven organizations on growth, engagement, and operational alignment. That work has reinforced the importance of integration,  ensuring that governance, programming, communications, and sponsorship efforts are coordinated and mutually reinforcing.

NACD Florida represents a particularly compelling opportunity given the caliber of its membership and its role in advancing governance across the region. The ability to support that community, while ensuring the chapter operates with the same level of professionalism and discipline expected of its members, is one I take seriously.

I would welcome the opportunity to contribute to the continued strength of the NACD Florida Chapter—and to ensure that its execution consistently reflects the caliber of the leaders it serves.

Sincerely,

Reeve McNamara
