By installing or using Azaan app you agree to the present terms of services.
Those terms are between You and Egypt Games.
The term "Application" refers to Azaan applications including, but without limitation, the application versions in Android, iOS phones and other platforms like watches, wearables, Internet-of-things and cars and consists of the following:
i. the mobile software application including, without limitation, any software binary, code, scripts, interfaces, graphics, displays, text, documentation and other components;
ii. any Updates, modifications or enhancements to the items listed in subsection (i); and
iii. any specific Egypt Games web service to which the Application directs you.
1.License Grant and Restrictions.
1.1 License Grant. Egypt Games grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable limited license to install and use the Application for your individual Use , subject to and strictly in accordance with all the terms and conditions of this License.
1.2 License Restrictions. You shall use the Application strictly for your own use in the platforms officially supported by Egypt Games and shall not (nor allow any third party to): (a) decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, attempt to derive the source code of, or decrypt the Application (except and only to the extent that applicable law prohibits or restricts reverse engineering restrictions); (b) make any copy, modification, adaptation, improvement, enhancement, translation or derivative work from the Application; (c) violate any applicable laws, rules or regulations in connection with your access or use of the Application; (d) remove, alter or obscure any proprietary notice (including any notice of copyright or trademark) of Egypt Games or its affiliates, partners, suppliers or the licensors of the Application; (e) use the Application for any purpose for which it is not designed or intended; (f) attempt to circumvent or disable the security key mechanism or other security mechanism such as encryption that protects the Application or data generated by it against unauthorized use; (g) make the Application available over a network or other environment permitting access or use by multiple Devices or users at the same time (h) use the Application for creating a product, service or software that is, directly or indirectly, competitive with or in any way a substitute for any services, product or software offered by Egypt Games; (i) use any proprietary information or interfaces of Egypt Games or other intellectual property of Egypt Games in the design, development, manufacture, licensing or distribution of any applications, accessories or devices for use with the Application, or (j) distribute or sell the application to other users, companies or organizations without written consent by Egypt Games.
2. Intellectual Property Rights.
You acknowledge and agree that the Application, content and all copyrights, patents, trademarks, trade secrets and other intellectual property rights associated therewith are reserved by, and shall remain the property of, Egypt Games and its licensors, if any, and that Egypt Games also owns all Data that has been aggregated and/or anonymized. You do not acquire any ownership in the Application under this License, or any other rights thereto other than to use the License in accordance with the license granted, and subject to all terms, conditions, and restrictions, under this License..
3. Termination
You may terminate your license at any time by uninstalling the Software. Egypt Games may terminate your license in the event that you breach the terms of this Agreement. Upon such termination, you shall immediately stop using the application and promptly return or destroy all copies of the Application.
This privacy policy governs your use of the software application Azaan ("Application") that was created by Egypt Games.
What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?
The Application doesn’t obtain any User personal information.
Your location is retrieved automatically in order to calculate prayer times. This information is used locally in your mobile device to process prayer time calculations, it’s anonymous and we never send it to any external servers except Google Analytics which is used for Aggregated Statistics and Anonymous Usage analaytics.
The Application may also collect other “Anonymous information” automatically, including the type of mobile device you use, your language, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browsers you use, and information about the way you use the Application. All this collected information is used for analytics and measurement to understand how our app is used. For example, we analyze data about the time users spend using the app per geographic region and the screens they visit to optimize product design.
The analytical tool we use for this purpose is Google Firebase Analytics. We recommend you review their policy to understand more how they retrieve and process this data.
We do not sell any Personal Information to any third party in any context under this Privacy Policy.
Librairies: our application uses many technical libraries, frameworks and underlying operating systems or services to develop the application and provide required functionality. For example, we use Google Location services to get the name of the city where a user is located. To make sure external services or codes are safe, we audit and scan third-party systems when reasonably possible to make sure they don’t collect or breach any unauthorized information. However, although we endeavor to provide reasonable effort with this regard, we cannot guarantee what information is collected by external libraries, especially from well-known providers like Google who provide compiled libraries instead of Open source ones.
Embeds: our application includes some external Services (“Embeds”). When you interact with these services, they can send information about your interaction to the hosting third party just as if you were using the third party’s services directly. For example, when you authenticate to Facebook and share prayer times in your page, Facebook might receive information about your activity. We do not control what information third parties collect through Embeds or what they do with the information. This Privacy Policy does not apply to information collected through Embeds. The privacy policy belonging to the third party hosting the Embed applies to any information the Embed collects, and we recommend you review that policy before interacting with the Embed.
Here’re the Embeds used currently in the app:
- Share prayer times via Facebook
- Export prayer times to Google calendar
You can find below the list of permissions needed by Azaan especially in Android.
Location: This permission is needed to locate the user automatically and calculate prayer times accordingly.
Microphone: This permission is needed in the case the user wants to record the Athan audio with his own voice.
Calendar: This permission is required and activated only when the user wants to export prayer times to Google Calendar.
Phone / Device ID & call information: (This permission is required only for devices with Android 5 or less) This is the permission given by Google in order to allow the app to interact with incoming, outgoing or ongoing calls. We need this permission so Azaan can know that there is an active call (ongoing, outgoing or incoming) so the app will not play Athan at this moment.
You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.
We don’t store or retain any Users’ Personal information.
We do not use the Application to solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. Any updates to our Privacy Policy will be posted here:

By using the Application, you are consenting to our processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us. "Processing," means using or touching information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information under the conditions of this Privacy Policy.
