Nova Scotia Social Conversation Meetups is a space where locals, newcomers and tourists come together to participate in fun activities while having great conversations and meeting new friends. We are committed to creating an inclusive and safe environment for all. To ensure this, we have established the following code of conduct:

  1. Respect and Kindness: All individuals attending the meetup must treat each other with respect and kindness, regardless of their gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, age, sexual orientation, religion, or ability.

  1. Harassment: Any form of harassment, including but not limited to verbal or physical abuse, intimidation, or unwelcome advances, is strictly prohibited.

  1. Diversity and Inclusion: We value diversity and inclusivity in our community. We encourage attendees to be open-minded and welcoming to different perspectives and experiences.

  1. Professionalism: Attendees should conduct themselves in a professional manner during the meetup. This includes refraining from disruptive or offensive behaviour, and being respectful of the opinions and ideas of others.

  1. Safety: We are committed to providing a safe environment for all attendees. If you feel unsafe or uncomfortable at any point during the event, please notify one of the organizers immediately.

  1. Compliance: Attendees are expected to comply with all local laws and regulations, as well as this code of conduct, while in attendance at any event. This includes arranging for safe transport home after an event. Event organizers are not responsible for the safety of others at or after an event.

  1. Solicitation: Attendees are expected to keep social conversations focused on building connections and fostering community rather than soliciting of business services.

Attendees who violate this policy may be banned from future events.

Event hosts and organizers are not responsible for the behaviour of group members. However, if you have concerns regarding the behaviour of an attendee at one of our events, please do not hesitate to inform the event organizer.
