A: BrenauSecure
A: BrenauGuest. However, personal devices are discouraged from being used for Brenau business of any kind (Faculty, staff, and students should not use BrenauGuest for these purposes.
A: Your wireless access key is emailed to your Brenau email address when your account was first created or reactivated. The email is sent from the address “no-reply@extremecloudiq.com”. You can also view your access key by clicking this link and logging in using your My.Brenau.edu credentials or by visiting the “My Accounts” area of CampusWEB.
A: On your device, open the wireless connection settings and find the network named “BrenauSecure”. Choose the network and enter your access key when prompted and connect.
A: These credentials are valid only while you are a current employee, under contract, or an Emeriti of the university with an active account.
A: As with all credentials issued to you, credentials should never be shared with anyone. Doing so violates Brenau policy and federal regulations. Your key is also limited to 10 simultaneously active devices. This means that sharing your key with others can cause your devices to lose access to the network.
A: In order for the wireless network to protect itself from attacks, any individual device that tries to authenticate using an invalid access key 10 times in a row during a 7 minute period will be temporarily blocked for 30 minutes.
1: Verify you are using the correct access key by clicking this link and logging in using your Brenau account credentials to view your access key.
2: After 30 minutes, try your verified access key again.
3: If you are still unable to access the wireless, Contact the Helpdesk for assistance.
A: Contact the Helpdesk and we will generate a new access key for your account.
A: These types of devices must be purchased through the IT department per normal procurement processes. Link to Policy
A: Due to privacy issues, the use of smart devices of this type are prohibited in Brenau offices, classrooms, and other non-residential spaces. Link to Policy
A: There is no limit to the number of devices that you can connect to the wireless network using your access key. However, there is a limit of 10 simultaneous connections per access key. This means you can have no more than 10 devices actively accessing the network at any given time.

A: Your wireless credentials are valid only while you are an active student. When a student is no longer enrolled in classes or has graduated, their account is disabled two semesters after enrollment ends. Link to Knowledge base Article

A: The use of gaming or entertainment systems is not expressly prohibited on the residence hall network but Brenau does not provide support or troubleshooting for their use. Generally, game and entertainment systems will function correctly if directly connected to a room's network port or the wireless network. However, it should be noted that the IT department cannot provide support for these devices. Link to Policy
A: Due to privacy issues, the use of smart speaker devices is prohibited in Brenau offices, classrooms, and other non-residential spaces. In resident halls, smart device systems will function correctly when connected to either the wired or wireless networks. Please note that having multiple smart devices on the same network can cause issues so there is no guarantee that the devices will work correctly if attached. Use them at your own risk. A: BrenauGuest
The BrenauGuest network is not intended for University business of any kind (Faculty, staff, and students should not use BrenauGuest for these purposes).
A: On your device, open the wireless connection settings and find the network named “BrenauGuest”. Choose the network. You will be prompted to acknowledge the “Terms And Conditions” to continue. Once you accept you will be connected.
A: All guests are required to read and acknowledge the “Terms And Conditions” when connecting to the university's wireless network. If you would like a copy of the policy or have questions pertaining to it, please contact the HelpDesk.
A: The BrenauGuest network will re-authenticate your device every 24 hours. You may be prompted to acknowledge the “Terms And Conditions” during this time.
A: Devices that are unable to acknowledge the “Terms And Conditions” are generally forbidden from accessing the BrenauGuest network. Please contact the HelpDesk if connecting such a device is needed for your Brenau approved event.
A: Your Brenau contact/sponsor should be able to assist you in connecting.
