Recap & Updates - Where are are now

B&BS Cmte Mtg Wed 9/1 4pm Budget update, overview of ZBB process launch, more details now

LCAP: CDE reviews, provides feedback, SFUSD rcvd feedback, has two weeks to absorb, update/response for final approval by mid-Sept: main areas - 1. more clear that we are a single district/county, 2. in Actions, check whether that action contributes to meeting requirement for focal pop or not (all or nothing)

Q:  LEA: Local Educational Agency

Clarification re: Sister County, Alameda for Differentiated Assistance; Anne Marie will clarify with CDE

Is the All or Nothing approach new? No, but the feedback about lack of clarity is new (all new readers for this year, so no history, background, so understanding lost.) We received a small amount of feedback compared to many other districts. the template/instructions are always changing, as well.

New data requirements for 21-22: what is the data that we will be providing to CDE and who is gathering, for interim reports?

After the feedback revisions, then we will start the interim reporting process.

Who for SFUSD is applying for the grants that are available to districts? (slide 18-29 on link to deck) new as of June ‘21

Slide #30 pension expense is not new, how is this connected to everything - LCAP, budget, etc. CalPers: surprise jump in cost at time of adoption budget, now readjusted downward

Total amount is what is available to be distributed, not what each district can get

Connection to arts education piece, difficult to navigate state dashboard,

Connections to other Initiatives, Efforts, etc.

Rori: Workshops in partnership with CTA - Synchronous groups, workshops, realized smaller, more focused groups where needed, UESF Division meetings,
