GRADE ONE

Your child will need the following classroom supplies, which you can purchase from a local department store:

  1      Scissors (stainless steel, rounded tips)

 2 pkg Pencils -please sharpen 

  1        Pencil Box eg. Le Kit type box (metal boxes and long kits are not practical in grade one)

 4        Erasers (white)

 4        Duo-tang Folders- holds 3 hole paper (if possible: blue, red, yellow, green)

  4         Large Glue Sticks

  1        Scrapbook (large, eg.35 x 27)

  2 pkg Crayons - No Markers (no more than 24 crayons per package please)

  1 pkg  Leads - No Markers

  4           Journal Exercises

(This is a small exercise book: the top half is blank for a picture and

the bottom is lined for writing. It is sold as 7” wide x 9” tall).

        Painting Shirt  (An old, adult sized, buttoned shirt will suffice; we can cut it to  make it into a painting smock!)

Headset (bring own device from home if available)

• place headset in a baggie with your child’s name on it

Sneakers - with non-marking soles for use during gym periods

* Please ensure that all items are labelled with your child’s name, including paint shirt.

PLEASE NOTE: Consumable supplies will need to be replenished throughout the school year.  

Prices are usually cheaper during Back to School Sales, so parents may wish to purchase some extra pencils, crayons and glue sticks to have on hand at home.
