Create Online Account for Excellus BCBS Health Insurance
Creating an online account for your Excellus health insurance only takes a few minutes and gives you lots of great resources. If you have a college student, have your student also create an online account. Some of the benefits:
- Access digital insurance card
- Monitor & Submit Claims
- Find out procedures, doctors, medications covered by your plan.
- Ask a Pharmacist - 24 hr service, will answer any questions about medications
- Ask a Nurse - 24 hr service, will answer medical questions
- TeleMedicine - 24 hr service, skip office and emergency care visits by having a virtual doctor visit via a face-to-face call (great for college students, when you are on vacation, or anytime). A fee of no more than $40 may be incurred.
Telemedicine doctors will diagnose and send prescriptions. Conditions covered:

Virtual Doctor Visits with TeleMedicine
If you are logged into the Excellus BCBS website, there 2 links for TeleMedicine.
- Under the Find a Doctor tab (if you don’t see the TeleMedicine link, click the Home tab then return to the Find a Doctor tab).
- Button on the top right of screen

Scroll down the page and click the Setup a Telemedicine Visit link.

The first time you click the Telemedicine link, you will create a new account and follow the directions on the screen. This is a separate account from the Excellus BCBS online account.
Once you have an account, you can click the link from the Excellus BCBS website, or click this link directly and log in with your Telemedicine account.
