Digital Classrooms help our students and teachers to work together online. Students and parents can receive important updates from teachers in their email, access digital copies of assignments, submit work online, and collaborate with their peers.
Edmonds uses two systems for their digital classrooms to communicate this information:
Google Classroom is provided as part of G Suite for Education, and works seamlessly with the Chromebooks that students use in class. Parents can request to become observers in Classroom and receive weekly email updates on their students progress.
Contact your child’s teacher to request this.
Students at secondary will use Canvas - the same system used by Edmonds Community College, the University of Washington, and other higher education establishments. It works on their 1:1 Chromebooks, as well as on mobile devices for on-the-go learning.
Parents can keep track of daily progress of their student through Canvas as an observer.
All current grades can be checked through Skyward.
Please contact the main office of your child’s school if you have questions or need assistance with any of these tools.
If you wish to monitor your student’s Internet activity please go to the Internet Safety & Cyberbullying page.
