UBC Future Global Leaders

The Future Global Leaders program is designed for high school students ages 15-18 who want to get a head start on their futures. This intensive program helps students develop the critical skills required for success in an academic and professional environment and encourages them to aspire to be leaders in our increasingly global world.

This program offers more than 25 fascinating academic courses taught by UBC professors and instructors in classrooms on the UBC campus. The 2-week courses are lively learning experiences, and are challenging but fun.

University of Toronto’s Youth Summer Programs 

The University of Toronto’s Youth Summer Programs (YSP) bring together two of Canada’s foremost faculties, the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Medicine, to offer a summer program for high school students who wish to experience what it is like to be a student at Canada’s top Medical and Law Schools.

The Med YSP offers an exclusive glimpse into the world of medicine and medical research, while the Law YSP introduces the legal system and a variety of legal concepts. The YSP are held in July and August on the University of Toronto’s downtown campus, and range in length from one to six weeks.

Ivey Summer Leadership Program (TAKING A BREAK IN 2020)

Are you looking for another opportunity to explore new learning experiences with high-achieving peers? Peers who will challenge you to see things from many perspectives? The Ivey Business School at Western University has designed a summer experience that will challenge you and build on your leadership potential. You will experience fast-paced learning and development with Ivey faculty, speakers and team projects. Experience the difference learning with cases makes as you work in teams and tackle challenging topics.

The Ivey Summer Leadership Program is an intensive nine-day residential summer enrichment program for students in grades 10 and 11 from diverse backgrounds. It offers an ambitious curriculum of academics, collaborative projects and recreational activities.

University of Waterloo Catalyst Summer Program

The Catalyst Summer Program is a 2-week program that offers a unique, interdisciplinary approach to the “traditional leadership program”. Drawing from the University of Waterloo’s strengths in engineering, science, and innovation, high school students develop leadership skills within a community and problem-based context - with real opportunities to put new skills to practice.

Application Deadline: Summer Program applications will be considered in three rounds. After each round's cutoff date, we will notify all applicants of their status . If you are not accepted in a round, you will still be considered in the subsequent rounds. We recommend getting your application in as soon as you can in order to be considered in more rounds!  Please note, we must receive the complete application (all 3 parts) before an application will be considered. It is the responsibility of the applicant to make sure we receive all pieces of the application.

Teen Programs at Emily Carr University of Art + Design offer excellent preparation for post-secondary education and future careers. Through hands-on art-making you will have access to experienced instruction and Emily Carr’s amazing studios, equipment, and community.

Summer Camp: Geering Up at the University of British Columbia (2020 Registration Coming Soon)

 

Geering Up is running a week long overnight summer program that is open to domestic and international students entering grades 10-12 or first year university. This is the perfect way to get a feel for what UBC is like while exploring interests in science and engineering. The program prepares students for University, and gives them the feel for what it is like to study at one of the top Universities in Canada.  

 

Students will get to stay in first year UBC residence throughout the week. During the day they will explore cutting edge innovations and concepts in the STEM field through hands on projects, discussions and lectures. They will learn from top UBC graduate and undergraduate students in the laboratory, classroom and real world settings. Additionally, students will meet mentors who are Industry professionals or professors at UBC. After camp students will meet in the evening. They will get the chance to explore campus and participate in campus events like sports games, networking events and more. They will also get to hang out and see Vancouver.

Summer Academy at McGill University

From July 7-20 and July 21-August 3, students in grades 10 and 11 from across the world will have the opportunity to participate in classes, workshops, and social activities introducing them to university life, McGill, and Montréal - all while being hosted in a McGill Residence!

BigSun Scholarship

The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to continue to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. We are offering an annual scholarship to a deserving student. All student athletes are eligible for this award, regardless of which sport they are participating in. Their participation may be in any capacity, whether as a player, coach or official.

University of King’s College:  HYP – Humanities for Young People

Do you love reading? Did you just put on a play? Do you follow politics? Do you dream of being a writer? Do you ever wonder what university might be like? If so, HYP is for you. The Humanities for Young People (HYP) is a new residential summer program for bright and highly-motivated students from ages 15 to 17. It will take place at the University of King’s College in Halifax, Nova Scotia from July 6–14, 2019. Secondary school students from across the country will have the unique opportunity to work closely and collaboratively with scholars from a variety of disciplines.

Science Engagement Programs offers innovative and engaging programs designed to inspire youth and discover exciting topics in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). UPenn’s Leadership in the Business World 

Leadership in the Business World (LBW) is a four-week summer program running from July 7 - August 4, 2018. This is an intensive summer program for a select group of rising high school seniors who want an introduction to a top-notch undergraduate business education and the opportunity to hone their leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. LBW offers opportunities to learn about leadership in 21st century organizations through a dynamic and rigorous mix of classes with Wharton professors and business leaders, company site visits, and team-building activities.

USC Summer Programs

The 4-Week college immersion program offers high school students university experience in a subject area of their choice. Courses are interactive, engaging and challenging, allowing students to explore new areas of study or build on their high school coursework.

  3. Receive 3 units of USC elective credit upon successful completion of the 4-Week course.

Great Books Summer Program

The Great Books Summer Program is an experience like no other in American education. For over sixteen years, GBSP has gathered exceptional middle and high school students from across the world to read, discuss and debate selections from the greatest works of literature.

Students experience college-level seminars, engage in lively discussion, and enjoy summer fun with other literary-minded students. GBSP offers summer camps at the University of Oxford, Amherst College, Stanford University, and Trinity College, Dublin. This year, GBSP is especially pleased to return to University of Chicago and Stanford Center at Peking University in Beijing for summer 2018!

Investigative Journalism Workshop

Based at Boston University, the New England Center for Investigative Reporting’s Summer Investigative Reporting Workshop is a perfect opportunity for U.S. and international high school students to learn more about journalism, and explore the exciting city of Boston! Their award-winning faculty will help ensure that each student will be taught at a high level, and learn new and valuable journalism skills.

Barnard Summer School

Students from around the globe come to New York City to pursue their passions in a rigorous, academic setting.  With six distinct programs to choose from, ranging from entrepreneurship to dance, you have the unique opportunity to explore an area of interest on a deeper level through both in-class discussions and city exploration. As part of the learning experience at Barnard, Students will get a taste of both college life and the Big Apple!

Duke Summer Academy

Have fun and enjoy personal enrichment classes with academically-motivated students from around the world in Duke University’s Summer Academy for High School Students. Students currently in grades 9 - 12 are eligible to apply. Summer Academy for High School Students, a three-week, non-credit-bearing program offered by Duke University, attracts students who represent the next generation of global citizens from around the world. Enroll in this elite program and immerse yourself in an international experience designed to provide an academic and residential environment through which you will gain a global perspective on multiple areas of interest for young leaders.

Otis College of Art and Design, Summer of Art

Immerse yourself in a dynamic, creative environment with other students who are passionate about art and design. This summer, build and develop your creative and artistic skills while exploring a specific medium or aspect of art and design. This intensive, four-week, pre-college program is for individuals 15 and older who wish to study at one of the top art and design colleges in the country. Serious young artists seeking to strengthen and enhance their art and design skills, as well as students with limited art training, are invited to participate.

SPI Study Abroad | High School Language Immersion & Global Leadership Programs

UC Berkeley Academic Talent Development Program

 ATDP, administered by the Graduate School of Education for the past 34 years, is the official program of UC Berkeley that provides opportunities for academically talented high school students to seek academic advancement beyond their current curriculum and to promote their college readiness. ATDP not only is a renowned talent program among universities and colleges in the U.S. but also directly referenced under the online college application platform of the entire University of California system as an authorized academic program.

Summer Discovery

Summer Discovery offers more diverse pre-college summer enrichment opportunities than any other organization, including college credit, enrichment, SAT Prep, internships, business and leadership institutes, and study abroad.

Cornell summer programs

Cornell's Summer College is one of the longest running and most highly regarded precollege academic programs in the U.S. Over 1,300 motivated high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors from around the world come to the Cornell campus in Ithaca, New York, each summer for an extraordinary academic and cultural experience.

We offer programs during two three-week sessions (June 24–July 15 and July 16–August 5, 2017) and one six-week session (June 24–August 8, 2017) in a wide variety of subjects, including architecture, art, design, and fashion; business, hospitality, and leadership; college success and English for speakers of other languages; debate and literature; engineering and robotics; government, history, and international relations; psychology, research, and science; social change and sustainability; and veterinary medicine and animal science. Students can also create their own six-week program.

Summer Programs at Notre Dame

Summer Scholars participants spend two intense weeks in one of 22 exciting programs of study. We keep the classes small and personal attention from Notre Dame faculty high. The coursework is a true preview of college academics—it is both rigorous and rewarding, and students earn one college credit upon the completion of a program track. Students collaborate on coursework outside designated class times, as they would in any college setting. There is also ample time to enjoy the social facets of college life, especially those unique to Notre Dame.

High school students in the Pre-College Program spend a summer in Washington, D.C., taking advantage of GW's expertise in global development, international relations, public policy and administration, politics, diplomacy, history, biomedical engineering, museum studies and the arts.

Cybermath Academy

 CyberMath Academy now offers a summer camp at Stanford University too! Now students can choose to attend camps this summer at either Harvard University (July 6-17) or Stanford University (July 15-27). Students will be able to choose from a variety of options which include College Prep (SAT and College Counseling and Application Planning), Math, Coding, Robotics, Game Design and Physics. Johns Hopkins University:  Engineering Innovation

A college-Level program for high school students with an aptitude in math and science and an interest in (or curiosity about) engineering. Students learn to think and problem-solve like engineers and have the opportunity to earn JHU credits

The Summer Science Program

SSP is open to current high school juniors and exceptional sophomores who have completed the pre-requisites, and will be at least 15 years old, but not yet 19, during the program. Current freshmen and seniors are not eligible.

Blyth Academy Summer Programs

With a mission to deliver a learning experience that is exciting and engaging, Blyth Academy offers highly personalized and experiential high school summer programs in classes that average eight students. Choosing Blyth Academy for summer courses allows students to benefit from our small class sizes and personalized approach, giving them the opportunity to enhance their high school education with intensive, month-long courses in a wide array of subjects, including mathematics, science, English, and humanities.

Cambridge Immerse

Students are invited to apply to participate in Cambridge Immersea course providing an unparalleled educational experience on the historic Cambridge University campus, United Kingdom, in July/August 2014. Students participating in this program, reside in Cambridge for a two week period and are taught by highly regarded tutors, offering the most optimal learning environment possible. In addition to academic sessions, participants also experience daily organised excursions within Cambridge and weekend excursions to London and Oxford, and have the chance to meet like-minded peers from a diverse range of backgrounds.

Students aged 15 and above are welcome to apply.  Cambridge Immerse offers courses in a range of disciplines, from the sciences to the humanities.

SciencesPo Summer School

The Sciences Po Summer School is an intensive short-term programme that encompasses two separate sessions during the months of June and July. Over the course of each four-week session, Summer School students may choose to further their knowledge in social science topics, French language acquisition, or a combination of the two. Whether they are preparing for an international career, considering a degree at Sciences Po, or simply intellectually curious, Summer School students benefit from this unique opportunity to discover Sciences Po, France’s leading university in the social sciences.

OxBridge Academic Programs

Oxbridge Academic Programs has been welcoming intellectually adventurous students to summer study programs since 1986. These programs are designed for students in grades 7-12 with the goal of giving them the opportunity to live and study in historic centers of learning. Today we offer programs in England, Scotland, France, Spain, and the United States. Students choose two subjects in which to immerse themselves - a major and a minor - from a range of over 200 courses. Popular options include Medicine, Law, Business, and Psychology.

Center for Opera Studies in Italy (COSI)

The COSI Academy Program is a ten-day intensive enrichment program for students between 17 and 19 years of age who are interested in music, culinary arts and language studies in Italy. Students will also learn about the history and culture of the vibrant town of Sulmona that will be their home for the duration of the program.

Join Pre-Vet Summer School from August 5 – 17, 2018 for an exciting two week summer school at The Royal Veterinary College, University of London. You will gain veterinary skills and knowledge that will be recognised by the RVC if you choose to apply.

University of Amsterdam

In summer 2018, the University of Amsterdam, will be offering two Pre-University Honours Programmes, one in Urban Studies and one in Politics & Identity. Both programmes approach their diverse and intriguing topics from many angles, taking an interdisciplinary approach to what are now global topics of discussion. In our Urban Studies programme, students will explore Amsterdam and its neighbourhoods both theoretically and on site, combining excursions with classroom learning to understand how cities function and what makes a city habitable; from transport, to housing, urban planning, identity, and more. In our Politics & Society programme, students will question pressing topics around the themes of identity and politics: given recent political movements across the world (from Black Lives Matter to Brexit), identity has become an increasingly important way to understand the world around us. But what forms “identity” as such, and how can identities (ours and others) have political implications?

Imperial College London – Imperial Global Summer School *NEW* (January 2018)

Imperial College London’s Global Summer School is an intensive two-week residential programme for the highest achieving students across the world.

It offers you the chance to learn from current teachers at a world top 10 university – the only one in the UK to focus solely on science, engineering, medicine and business.

You will have the chance to take your subject knowledge to the next level through a challenging academic programme that balances lectures, seminars and a high level of practical work. This includes the chance to access professional advice and guidance around applying for university study in the UK, especially to Imperial College London.

Jacobs University Summer Camp

Taking part in an International Summer Camp is a great way for students to familiarize themselves with university life. We bring together young people from all over the world, to participate in workshops on the issues facing modern societies today – from safeguarding the environment to democracy. And of course, there are plenty of opportunities to unwind and have fun along the way, with excursions, sports activities, and a big final night party!

Jacobs University will offer the Summer Camp between July 28 and August 3 on our campus in Bremen, Germany.

Immerse Education 

 Immerse Education delivers academic enrichment programs designed for ambitious high school students. These take place in the colleges of Cambridge University in the United Kingdom – considered one of the world’s greatest centres of learning.

At Immerse, our programs not only stimulate students’ intellectual curiosity by providing a glimpse into undergraduate studies but will also motivate them as they embark on decisions about their university studies, and future goals. Students can select from 18 subjects, such as Medicine, Law, Computer Science or Architecture, and explore this in sessions led by expert tutors from world-leading universities.

In addition to gaining the unparalleled experience of studying at one of the world’s leading universities, students who attend will also receive a Participant Evaluation, written by tutors who have substantial experience of tutoring undergraduate students at world-leading universities, as well as a certificate of participation upon completion of the programme – both valuable tools for college applications and résumés. Participants from Immerse have proceeded to enrol at leading global universities including Harvard University, Cambridge University and NYU.

University of Cambridge - Institute of Continuing Education – Pre-University Summer Programme

The University of Cambridge is delighted to launch their new two-week Pre-University Summer Programme for 16–18 year olds. This is the first of its kind to be run by the University, and provides an opportunity for international students, currently studying at high school, to prepare for future undergraduate study at leading global universities.
