Basics

When Percy is seven, Gabe kills his mother. Nyx sees him run out of the apartment, and taking pity on him, stops Gabe and takes him to a place more welcoming to children than the Mansion of Night, introducing him to Erebus, Aether, and Hemera. Nyx and Erebus adopt him, and Aether and Hemera give him their blessings. He is trained as a half-blood with a classical education, alongside learning of the myths, how to use his powers, and how to fight.

TITAN’S CURSE ARC

CHAPTER IV - FIRST CONTACT

Percy, age 14, shows up, kills Doc Thorn, light travels the Di Angelos to Palace of Hades. Artemis questions him, he refuses to be brought to Olympus, instead disappearing to Dusklight Manor, despite Thalia protesting.

CHAPTER V - MEETING

Percy goes to sleep, and has a dream visit from Moros, who tells him that he needs to join the quest, or else they are doomed. Percy does so, joining them in Washington, after he scouts out the National Air and Space Museum. He warns them about the spartoi, and then the Nemean Lion attacks. Instead of space food, Percy gets the Lion to open its mouth with a burst of light, before contributing to the attacking the mouth, with explosive light-arrows. He takes the pelt.

CHAPTER VI - QUESTIONING

The quest escapes from the spartoi, ending up in the Sun West line. As they ride to New Mexico, Percy sits in the same car as Thalia, where she interrogates him. Percy finds her adorable when she gets angry, surprising him. Percy then leaves to find his own car, to relax and think about how he feels. This is interrupted, however, by Apollo, distracting Percy enough so that he can fall asleep.

CHAPTER VII - DREAMS

Percy has a dream about Heracles and Zoe, as well as one of Artemis taking the place of a maiden demigod who serves the Titans under the sky, before waking up when the train stops. As they take a break in New Mexico, the Pan thing happens, and the spartoi attack. The Erymanthian Boar arrives, and they ride it to the Junkyard of the Gods, where they meet Ares.

CHAPTER VIII - DEBRIS

Percy has a convo with Aphrodite, where she takes on a resemblance to Thalia, again showing Percy’s feelings for her. Percy is curt to her, annoying Aphrodite, who kicks him out before the quest heads through the Junkyard. Nobody takes anything, but Aphrodite, annoyed with Percy, has Hephaestus activate Talos. Percy disables Talos by crawling into the robot and sending it into a power line, barely managing to escape before the robot makes contact.

CHAPTER IX - REVELATION

The quest, due to Thalia, search the Junkyard for Percy, and find him barely alive next to Talos’s corpse, unconscious. They drive until they reach a river, where Percy wakes up. He sees the water of the river, and requests the others dump water on him. Confused, they do so, and it heals him. After repeating the process until Percy is at full health, he promises to explain later, as he convinces some Naiads to help them travel until the Hoover Dam. On the way, Percy is in the same canoe as Thalia, and his feelings begin acting up again. She interrogates him once again, and he tells her that his birth parent was Poseidon, before his mother was killed by his stepfather and he was adopted by Erebus and Nyx.

CHAPTER X - BANE OF OLYMPUS

The quest arrives at Hoover Dam, where Percy separates due to hearing something that seemed vaguely familiar. Investigating it, he discovers the Ophiotaurus, who is able to speak to him due to a combination of his sea powers and his close relation to the creature - the Ophiotaurus emerged from Chaos, and as such is Percy’s uncle. The conversation leads to Percy realizing what one line of the prophecy means. He then attempts to reunite with the others, chased by spartoi, meeting Rachel along the way.

CHAPTER XI - OLD MAN OF THE SEAS

Percy reunites with the quest, and they leave to San Francisco, carried by the statues. In San Fran, Percy wrestles Nereus and asks him what the Great Prophecy is. Nereus recites it, before leaving. Then, the Ophiotaurus arrives, warning Percy, before Doc Thorn and his mercs arrive, as well as Chris, who tries to convince Thalia to sacrifice the Ophiotaurus and end Olympus. When Thalia seems to be seriously considering it, Percy realizes she is in a magical trance. In order to break the trance, he acts on his feelings, passionately kissing her.

CHAPTER XII - ROMANCE

Percy’s kiss snaps Thalia out of it, and she gets angry at Chris, and the battle begins. The duo fight side by side like they did two years ago on Half-Blood Hill, and they end up defeating all of the mercenaries and killing Doc Thorn, before Luke uses his Hermes powers to teleport away. As the quest travels to Mt. Othrys, Thalia questions Percy about his kiss, and he confesses his feelings. Thalia admits that she thinks she feels the same way, but isn’t sure, saying she needs time to think on it. Percy respects her wishes, and they don’t talk for the remainder of the trip, mostly because Thalia falls asleep on Percy’s shoulder.

CHAPTER XIII - GARDEN OF THE HESPERIDES

The quest arrives at Mt. Othrys, and begins their ascent. They reach the Garden of the Hesperides, where there is a brief and rude encounter between Zoe and her sisters, where she calls out Ladon. As her questmates skirt the side of the Garden, Zoe distracts Ladon. However, Ladon sees the others, and lashes out at Zoe. Percy almost shadow travels her out of there before she is hit, but she does receive a wound. They then arrive on the top of the mountain.

CHAPTER XIV - MOUNTAIN OF DESPAIR

The quest has a talk with Atlas, seeing Artemis under the sky and Luke there, before the fight begins. Percy takes on Atlas, being forced to use all of his powers to hold him off. Later on, he requests that Artemis “dim the lights,” and she does so by dimming the light of the moon, giving Percy more strength, but the fight still remains a stalemate. Zoe takes a blow for Percy during the fight. Having a realization, Percy takes the burden of the sky from Artemis, allowing her to fight Atlas. She tricks Atlas into taking his burden again, and the fight is over.

CHAPTER XV - OLYMPUS

The quest runs to Zoe, who says that Percy is a good man, and gives him Anaklusmos, which he takes proudly. Artemis places her lieutenant in the stars, and they travel to Olympus. Percy reveals his heritage (including being born to Poseidon) to the Olympians, as well as the fact that he is the child of the Great Prophecy, not Thalia, due to being born in the same year as her, but in August, not December. They vote on whether or not to kill him, but are interrupted by Nyx, Erebus, Aether, and Hemera arriving, who threaten Olympus into not killing him, embarrassing Percy. They then tease him over his feelings for Thalia, embarrassing him further. At the party, Percy and Thalia discuss their feelings as they dance, and they kiss. The Titan’s Curse arc ends.

BATTLE OF THE LABYRINTH ARC

CHAPTER XVI

Percy picks up Thalia after she encounters Tammi and Kelli at orientation for Goode High School, and encounters Rachel again. Percy takes Thalia to Camp Half-Blood, with a promise from both of them to explain things when they have time. Percy spends time with Thalia at CHB, before taking her to meet his family at Dusklight Manor.

CHAPTER XVII - MEETING THE FAMILY

Thalia eats a dinner with Erebus, Nyx, Aether, Hemera, and Percy. The two of them are embarrassed after Percy’s family teases them relentlessly. Thalia is initially supposed to sleep in another room, but Nyx and Erebus allows her to sleep in Percy’s. As there are no other beds in his room, and neither of them want the other to sleep on the ground, they both sleep in Percy’s bed, cuddling, but doing nothing else.

CHAPTER XVIII

After their night together at Dusklight, Percy takes Thalia back to camp, and decides to watch her during the exercise organized by Quintus. When she and Luke fall into the Labyrinth, he shadow travels in and takes them out. After a conversation where they realize that the Titans are most likely planning on using it as an invasion route straight into the heart of camp, a council meeting is called.

CHAPTER XIX

Percy, Thalia, and Luke attend the war council meeting. After some initial tensions, Percy is accepted as a member of the council. In the end, the council sends a quest, lead by Luke, to find Daedalus to prevent the Titans from using the Labyrinth to invade CHB. Luke gets the prophecy, and picks Thalia and Percy.

CHAPTER XX

The trio ventures into the Labyrinth, and Annabeth uses her invisibility cap to sneak in with them. When she takes the cap off, Percy argues for Annabeth coming with them, despite Thalia and Luke protesting. Eventually, they give in, and Annabeth thanks Percy. When Thalia corners him about it, he states that he knows that Moros wouldn’t dare touch Annabeth, due to his chats with him.

CHAPTER VII

A/N: Long time, no see!

As we passed over the Potomac River, a sleek military helicopter appeared over the skyline of Washington, D.C, and angled right towards us. Dammit, I thought, they know the van we’re in. I brought this to Zoe’s attention.

“He’s right - we’ll have to ditch it,” chimed in the daughter of Athena, who was only a few years younger than Thalia.

“If you can provide another mode of transportation, then be my guest, boy,” responded the redheaded hunter.

“I could shadow-travel, but with so many people, the breaks between jumps would have to be too long for our deadline.”

She raised an eyebrow. Nobody else had any ideas on either how to ditch the van or deal with the helicopter stalking us. Thalia closed her eyes and prayed to her dad for a lightning bolt, but the sky remained still, unanswering. The Ancient Laws can be a bitch sometimes. However, as the daughter of Athena looked at their surroundings, she seemed to get an idea.

“Zoe, go into that parking lot.”

        “We’ll be trapped!”

“Trust me, I’ve got a plan.”

Reluctantly, Zoe did as asked, swerving across two lanes of traffic and into a mall parking lot. We all unloaded from the van, and followed the youngest member of the quest across the lot and down some stairs, into a subway entrance.

“Let’s head south,” said the Athena child imperiously, stepping in the direction of the turnstiles.

After we were comfortably aboard the southbound train, I decided I needed to get the names of everybody on the quest. I already knew Thalia, and I’d gathered Zoe’s name, but that still left two other people I didn’t know the names of. I also wanted to compliment the daughter of Athena on her plan. Why not kill two birds with one stone?

“That was a good idea,” I trailed off, letting her fill in the blank that was her name.

“Oh! My name’s Annabeth, daughter of Athena. And thank you,” Annabeth did the same thing I’d done not moments before.

“Percy, son of Nyx and Erebus.”

Annabeth arched an eyebrow. “You don’t look like a god.”

        “I’m not. I was adopted.”

Thalia interrupted. “So why can you tell us your godly parents now, but you couldn’t tell me two years ago?”

I winced. I hadn’t liked not telling Thalia, and I still felt sorta guilty about it.

“Sorry, my parents didn’t want me revealing myself that early. I would’ve told you if I could’ve, though.” I saw Zoe begin to ask a question, but I held my hand up to stall her. “Can we hold any questions until we’re certain that we’re not being stalked by that helicopter? Besides, I think we need to change trains anyway.”

Over the next half-hour, we change trains twice and managed to shake the chopper. However, we had really only cared about getting away, and so we ended up getting dropped off at the end of the line at a railway yard, full of snow-covered freight cars that looked like they’d been abandoned for years. I was very thankful for the new lion-fur coat I’d gotten. I would’ve used some of my day-powers from Hem to get a bit of warming sunlight, but shadow-travelling from the Adirondacks all the way to D.C. turned out to be rather draining, and I still hadn’t recovered.

Eventually, we came upon a homeless dude sitting at a trash fire, keeping his hands warm. The greasy-haired man gave us a grin and beckoned to his flame, shouting out an invitation to warm up. Of course, we accepted. As we stood around the trashcan, I felt a weird aura from the homeless man, strangely reminding me of Hem.

“You know,” the homeless man began, “you’re never completely without friends. You kids need a train going west?”

“Yes, sir,” I answered. “Know of any?”

One greasy hand rose, and his index finger pointed out a suddenly-revealed freight car, untouched by the snow. It carried cars, with three decks and curtains of steel mesh. Across the side was emblazoned, in bright and bold letters, the name SUN WEST LINE. Next to that, was the logo of a sun rising up the horizon. How convenient.

As Thalia echoed my thoughts out loud, I turned back to thank him for his help. However, the homeless dude was suddenly absent, as was the flame atop the trashcan. Shrugging, we boarded the train and found places to rest.

The two hunters had found a Lexus to sleep in on the top deck, while Annabeth had decided upon a Lamborghini. As I walked towards the black Mercedes Thalia had chosen, I heard alt-rock music from the radio. I pulled open the shotgun door, and leaned down, eyebrow quirked.

        “Join you?” I asked.

She shrugged, and so I climbed in. I vaguely recognized the song as something my birth mom had liked, and I felt a pang of sorrow in my chest. I shrugged it off, deciding to focus on what was ahead of me instead of what was behind me.

“So, you probably have some questions. We’re safe for now, so you might as well ask them.”

She sighed. “First off, I know you’re the son of Nyx and Erebus, which gives you your shadow powers, but I know that you also have light powers. Where do you get those from?”

I reclined in my seat. “My brother and sister, Aether and Hemera, both gave me their blessing. Since they’re the primordial of light and day, respectively, I can use light as well as shadow.”
