CABIN LEADER COACH

Minimum Qualifications

--Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ

--Maintain a lifestyle that reflects spiritual growth and maturity

--Demonstrate a life of service to others

--Ability to work as a team, as well as initiate tasks on your own

--Previous camp staff experience

--At least 18 years old        

--Desire and ability to:        value all campers and encourage spiritual growth in each child

work with both adults and children

train and mentor Summer Staff Team participants and guest Cabin Leaders

Job Specifics:

7 week commitment to live on site, no exceptions, plus mandatory training

Meals are provided

Paid position (Camp Subminimum Wage of $175 per week)

Serve as a member of the Summer Leadership Team

1 Male and 1 Female position available

Responsible to: Camp Coordinator, Program Director, Junior Camp Directors, Camp Director (if applicable)

General Responsibilities: Work as a team with the other SLT members to train and mentor the Summer Staff Team participants throughout their seven week commitment. Work with the other SLT members and camp staff to implement camp programs.

Specific Responsibilities:

--Train, supervise and mentor Cabin Leaders (M.A.D. and Guest) to be the best Cabin Leaders they can be.

--Support the Cabin Leaders throughout their week. Step in if they need help, have difficult campers or need a break.

--Encourage positive relationships between Cabin Leaders and other staff, as well as with their Campers.

--Maintain communication with the Program Director and Junior Camp Directors so that their needs are met and both resident and day camp programs run smoothly.

--Keep the Camp Coordinator informed of any ongoing disciplinary issues.

Community Responsibilities:

--Look for ways to help out even if it’s not part of your job description and your work may not be acknowledged.

--Spend time with Jesus daily through personal and staff devotions.

--Attend daily staff meetings. Attend Recap and Rejoice meetings on the final day of each day camp session.

--Help clean the cabins at the end of each week.

--Rest on the weekends and attend church each Sunday morning.
