How to Allow Third-Party Cookies (on a Chromebook)

On occasion, certain pages don’t load properly for students (such as Savvas tests in Schoology). This can be due to the fact that some student accounts have opted to block third-party cookies. The following steps will walk you through how to allow third-party cookies from a student Google account (on a Chromebook) to make sure the page displays properly.

1.) On the Google Chrome browser, click on the little building (or lock) icon in the top left corner of the search bar. Then, select site settings:

2.) In the top search bar, type in “cookies,” then select Cookies and Other Site Data. From here, you will likely see that the settings say “Block third-party cookies”:

3.) Select the option to “Allow all cookies” and return to the previous page that wasn’t properly displaying. Once you refresh, the page should display properly.
