Attendees from the Audience, through using the microphone after a previous participant has handled it.

Contestants in cosplay would have to pass the microphone between each other.

The Host of the game needing to  pass the microphone between participants and contestants, as well as use it themselves.

Make sure to wipe down the microphone with an antibacterial wash  after each use.

Make sure all attendees, contestants and hosts have washed their hands pre-event, and used hand sanitizer.

All attendees, contestants and hosts are to wear masks at all times.

Use of a boom microphone so that contact is eliminated or greatly reduced.

Make a verbal announcement before the beginning of the game explaining the social distancing requirements.

Assign a volunteer whose job is to keep track of cleanliness.

Use a tick sheet to track cleaning has taken place after each question round.

Make sure only those who need to handle the microphone are the ones doing so.

Practise caution when exchanging items during the event.

Have on stage seating spaced out by at least 2m to follow social distancing guidelines.

Have an assigned audience space with limited seating.

Make sure all audience seating is spaced out by at least 2m following social distance guidelines.

Use signs to clearly show where the audience should be sitting.

Keep track of how many people are in the audience so that it doesn’t get too crowded.

Announce that all chairs should not be moved from their allocated spaces.

Different people lifting and moving chairs can spread the virus between surfaces.

Setting up the microphone requires testing,which could involve more than one person.

A different person may then put the microphone away after the game.

Writing out and assigning Question cards could spread the virus through objects.

Various people will have touched the chairs by the end of the game.

Wipe down all surfaces with an antibacterial wash during setting up.

Wipe down all surfaces with an antibacterial wash  again after the game, thoroughly cleaning the chairs so that they can be used for a new event.

Make sure only one person is in charge of setting up the microphone and again with putting it away after.  

Have clear signs reminding the volunteers  to clean surfaces.

Before starting the set up and taking down of the event, have a volunteer  meeting  to remind those involved to practise caution.

Maintain social distancing where feasible when setting up or taking down equipment. If social distancing can’t be maintained then the use of masks is required.

Maintain a minimal amount of contact on components, and use transport to move the equipment.

If a piece of equipment needs multiple people to move then encourage the use of gloves (if feasible and doesn’t include a Health and Safety concern) and masks.

Reduce the number of people used to set up / take down and maintain social distancing where possible.
