Introducing . . . The Saugatuck Spotlight!

We are so excited to introduce a new feature in the Scoop. Each week, we will interview a different member of the SES staff to learn more about all of the terrific people who make our school so great! In our inaugural Saugatuck Spotlight, we are featuring none other than our principal, Beth Messler!

If I wasn’t a principal I would want to be a . . . Broadway Actress (I love a good showtune!)

If I could have any superpower it would be . . . Time Travel! That way I could be in multiple places at once and not miss out on events.

My first concert was . . . Whitney Houston (when I was in 7th grade)

My favorite place to visit is . . . Napa Valley, California

A little known fact about me . . . My mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother are/were all flower show judges... I arrange too when I have time and extra flowers.

My favorite song is . . . It depends on my mood, but I’m a big fan of Ike and Tina Turner’s “Proud Mary.”  It’s a childhood favorite that my dad turned me on to.

Your child should have brought home a Cultural Arts contribution slip last week. Just return it via your home/school folder or drop in the PTA basket in the office. Any questions or recommendations, please contact Micil Ryan (micilryan@gmail.com) or Sarah Ferro (sarah.ferro@nbcuni.com).
