Pi Chapter Executive Meeting

November 4, 2024

Members Present:  Kathy Albertson, Amy Fratz, Michelle Marhefka, and Beverly Siti

Call to Order:

• The meeting was called to order at 3:04 p.m. by President Amy Fratz.

Minutes:  

• The minutes of the October 7, 2024, Executive Meeting were approved (Albertson/

Marhefka) as written.

Treasurer’s Report:  

• In the absence of Treasurer Jackie Gould, First Vice-President Michelle Marhefka reported balances of $2,553.12 in our checking account and $1.561.66 in our Stipend account as of October 31, 2024.  The report was filed for audit.

Correspondence:  

• Corresponding Secretary Barbara Priggemeier was not present at the meeting.  

President’s Report:  

• As a large amount of business was conducted at the Fall Dinner/General Meeting, President Amy did not have anything new to report.
• It was suggested that cards need to be sent to Pi Sister Peggy Francis on a regular basis.

First Vice President’s Report:  

• First Vice-President Michelle Marhefka reminded the Board that Pi Sister Karli Fratz will offer a presentation on Artificial Intelligence at the Focus Meeting on November 19th.

• An email invitation has been sent to Iota and Beta Chapters to join us.

• An email has been sent to the membership with the list of books that have been suggested for discussion at the 2025 Convention.  Sisters have been asked to submit their top two choices to Michelle.

Second Vice President’s Report:  

• Second Vice-President Carol Murphy’s report was given by President Amy.  

• Carol has submitted the paperwork to DKG for re-certification of Pi’s website.
• She has received permission from all who appear in pictures on our website for their pictures to be there.

Committee Reports:

• As only four members of the Board were present, no Committee reports were given. 

Old/New Business:  There was no further business to discuss at this time.

• Pi Focus Meeting:  Artificial Intelligence                November 19, 2024
• Holiday Get-Together                                        December 17, 2024
