Guide introduction and navigation
This by and for guide is offered in the context of a Decolonial, Trauma-informed and Disability Justice-oriented approach to community care, in which we recognize that different abilities, needs and socio-cultural contexts meet.
It is a resource meant to facilitate access to this event and to welcome as many community members as possible, in particular those of us who have and continue to experience traumatic experiences related to policing and systemic racism and ableism.
😷 Free KN95 and N95 masks are available at our welcome tables on each floor as well as through our volunteer team.
Masks are mandatory on the 2nd floor.

♿ Accessing the event
Parc Avenue will be closed between Des Pins and Mont Royal for the Mondial du Cyclisme.
Address : 251 avenue des pins
Bus & Metro : 🟠 Sherbrooke* (orange line, bus 144 west and 17 minute walk), or 🟢 Place des arts (green line, bus 80-129 nord or 14 minute walk).
*Sherbrooke station is not wheelchair accessible.

♿ Navigating the event
😷 We thank participants for masking during their attendance of Defund La Police, to contribute to protecting our communities against airborne viral infections.
Free KN95 and N95 masks are available at our welcome tables on each floor as well as through our volunteer team.
Masks are mandatory on the 2nd floor.

Floor 1 - Panels and market
👁️🗨️ No interpreting, sadly! Some panels will be recorded and shared online after the event. Our access volunteers will help you sit in the front row for lip-reading.
♿ Our access volunteers will ensure that participants can physically navigate the event and find their seats.
📲 Activities and panels will be announced on our Instagram stories as the day progresses, and schedules will be available at our welcome table and throughout the event.
Floor 2 - Sensory rooms

A variety of sensory rooms can be found to the right when exiting the elevator.
- Places to rest: Hangout room (various seating), Sensory room (galaxy lights)
- Places to regulate: Telephone room (crisis overwhelm / privacy room; can fit manual wheelchairs)
