The children did an awesome job at the Christmas Program! Thanks again for joining us.
The theme for December will be “ Follow That Star”. We will learn about the Nativity story, have cooking activities, and talk about “Giving”. The focus will be on how God gave us his son, Jesus, and what we can give God back in return; Our heart.

Thank you all who came and supported our students in this year’s preschool Christmas production.
This week we will be reviewing our letters A-J. For our numbers we will learning about the number 8. Also this week we will be doing some activities and crafts to help decorate our classroom for the Christmas season. It should be a fun week.
Mrs. Anderson’s Class
BIBLE: we will recap and move on to the “3 Kings” Bible verse: “ For God so loved the world that He gave os one and only son…: John 3:16
PHONICS: We will continue with Kk and recap H-J. Focus on short vowel song. Look for vowels in our names.
MATH: We are working on “ordering”. The concept will be taught in class with an activity to follow. The children have been working on all concepts taught so far and returned homework or classroom projects are being kept for each child’s portfolio.
ART: Begin Christmas projects.

December theme is "Follow that star." December Bible memory verse is: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Our Bible story this week will be about King Herod. This week's theme is on cooking.
We will begin focusing on Christmas crafts as we have now learned the Christmas story. I hope you all enjoyed our Christmas program. What a great way to start December.
Learn Kk. Capital K looks like a flagpole with a big V turned to the side. Little k looks like a flagpole with a little v turned to the side. Kk as in kite. Learn c/k blend ladder. Learn k & c rule: Kk goes with i and e; Cc goes with the other three vowels.
Count up to 40. Recognize 1-9. We will be writing number 8.
Character development on dependable. Language enrichment on before, after and between.
GROSS MOTOR DEVELOPMENT
2 times a week we will stretch and exercise. Please look for a sign- up sheet. We will be making a snack that the children will pour, stir, cut and prepare themselves. Thank you.
