Head Coach- Ronda Hansen Hurdles/Sprints/Long Jump

rondahansen@alpinedistrict.org

I graduated from North Bend High School in Oregon.  I started running Cross Country in junior high until I discovered a love for soccer and eventually played for both the women’s and men’s high school varsity soccer teams.  I ran distance in Track & Field through junior high and high school until I was thrown into the 400m at an invitational to fill a spot and took 4th place in the final.  I specialized in the 400m after that.  I coached Track & Field, Women's Soccer, and Cross Country at Hunter High School for 4 years before coming to Skyridge where I am very proud to be a FALCON!!!  In 2023 I was one of two people to be voted UCCTCA 6A Track & Field Coach of the Year.

Isaac Hawkins - Distance

I competed in the 1600 and 3200 meters while at Ferris High School in Spokane, Washington, and received a track scholarship to compete at Stanford.  While at Stanford my primary focus was on the 5000 meter distance.  This is my second year at Skyridge High School.

Deanna Meyer- Throws

dmeyer@alpinedistrict.org

Deanna Meyer comes to the Falcon family by way of Lone Peak High School where she was the head throws coach for over 10 years.  Prior to that, Coach Meyer was the head track coach at Granger High School.  Meyer believes strongly that multi sport athletes make the best athletes and has coached many athletes to be successful at the next level. A multi-sport athlete herself Meyer attended Skyline High School where she lettered in volleyball, basketball, track and played club softball.   Meyer has had a lot of success with her teams and athletes winning multiple state titles and runner up finishes.  Some of the most successful college bound athletes Meyer has coached played multiple sports and placed high at the state level as either state champions for a team or found themselves standing on the podium in track.  Meyer loves track and feels it teaches athletes discipline, work ethic, grit and how to compete and just better overall athleticism.  She looks forward to working with the track team and being a part of the amazing Skyridge Falcon culture of excellence.  GO FALCONS!

Don Richards- Pole Vault

I went to high school in Nevada where I was a state champion. I later ran track at Southern Utah University. In college I was a decathlete and could score well in several events, but  focused on Pole vaulting. I was an all conference  athlete 2 years in a row. For a few years  at Southern Utah I was both an athlete and the vault coach. I have  Been coaching Pole vault on and off Since 2001. I coached in Nevada  For one year. In that year I had a first 2nd and 3rd place finishing it state. Later I coached here in  Utah and in the 2 years I coached here I've had 2 state champions and a 3rd place finish.  My goal is to create A-pole vaulting  dynasty here at Skyridge.

Daniel Litchford- Throws

I grew up in American Fork, Utah and graduated from American Fork High School. I started throwing in 8th grade and have loved it ever since. I won region in shot put and discus my senior year, and later placed at state. After graduating high school I was able to compete for the UVU track and field team specializing in the hammer throw. I was the throws coach over shot put, javelin, and discus for 7 years at American Fork High school. I am glad to be here at Skyridge High School. I love track and field and look forward to working with the throwers.

Brinn Jensen - Sprints/Long Jump

I grew up in Lehi and graduated from Skyridge High School. In 2017 at the Utah State Championship meet I placed first in the 100m, 200m and 400m. I then competed in track at the collegiate level for 5 years and graduated from BYU where I ran primarily the 200m, 400m and relays. I’m excited to be back at Skyridge as a coach!

Chalise Farr - High Jump

I am in my 18th year of teaching and coaching. I graduated from Taylorsville High School in 2001 where I later returned to coach for 10 years (both track and field as well as competitive cheer). I held the school record for high jump and the 100M hurdles until I was lucky enough to coach my successors. I competed at the Division I level in both hurdles and high jump at Utah State University and loved my experience in Logan and as a student-athlete. After teaching and coaching in Utah, our family moved to North San Diego County where I taught and coached for 6 years at La Costa Canyon High School. My awesome husband grew up in Lehi, so I'm thrilled to be part of the Falcon family and to be lucky enough to teach and coach at the school where my own 5 children will attend high school. I'm so glad to be at Skyridge and can't wait to see what our amazing athletes accomplish this season!

Ashley Nelson - Sprints

I have a degree in Exercise Science, graduating from BYU.  I started running as a teenager for Timpanogos High School and went on to compete for SUU’s and BYU Hawaii’s Cross Country teams.  In 2001 I competed in the Ironman California Triathlon and qualified for the world championships in Kona, Hawaii which I did four months later.  I have 6 kids, 3 of who have competed at Skyridge in Cross Country and Track.  I continue to love to run, and race when I can.

Lachelle Bodine - Distance

I graduated from Curtis High School in Washington state where I ran for the cross country and track teams. I continued to run recreationally while attending BYU. After college and having 3 kids, I started participating in half marathons and have officially completed over 40 half marathons and 4 marathons. Along the way, I found a love for pacing half marathons and helping others to reach their running goals at all paces. I have one daughter currently running for Skyridge and have loved helping the Falcon distance runners to find personal success in this sport.
