Kia Ora Koutou,

Musselburgh Home and School, would like to extend our warmest of welcomes to the

parents and whānau of our tamariki, both new and old, to our school.

The Home and School Association are a group of passionate parents who dedicate their

time to organising fundraisers, non profit events, and community evenings to encourage

interaction between our whānau, teachers and community. There are two sections to our

Home and School Association. One being the Home and School Committee and the

second being our Home and School Team. The Home and School Committee will meet

once a month to discuss and plan any upcoming fundraisers and future events. The

Home and School Team will consist of any whānau members who aren’t able to make our

monthly meetings but are still wanting to be called upon to help out whenever needed.

Both sections of our association are just as important as the other, and everyone's ideas

will be valued and taken into consideration with the utmost respect. For those whānau

members worried about childcare, please don’t, I am a mother of 6, and totally understand

how daunting joining or volunteering can be especially with our little ones. Rest assured our

Home and School Association is child friendly and you will always have the support you

need to bring your tamariki with you.

Finally I would like to leave you with a favourite quote of mine, and it may become one of

yours too:

‘Community is the Foundation to Success.’

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions on my email below.

Yours Sincerely,

Andrea Harding
