Using OPALS - Exploring Our Library

1. Go to the OPALS website go to https://wzyo.wuja.opalsinfo.net/bin/home | If you want to use an ipad for OPALS - have a family member type in the website from Safari or your Browser |
2. To search for something, click on the blank box in the middle then press Search (or click Enter). Use this if you are looking for books that have to do with a topic or have a word you want in the title | |
IMPORTANT: Spell the BEST you can - the database will not recognize a book if you spell something incorrectly! | |
If you are searching for something specific, click Advanced to have a more focused search come up Insert what you are searching for:

Looking for a book series? Type in part of the series correctly in the SERIES TITLE category Click search. | |
Looking for a favorite author? Type in the name correctly in the AUTHOR category Click search. | |
Looking for a subject? Type in the name correctly in the SUBJECT category Click search. | |
3. When you find a book you’re interested in, look to see if it is available It will say in Green AVAIL: __ If it says LOST in Red, we may not have it! | |
4. Write an email to Ms. Zatarga to let her know what book you (or your child) would like to take out - writing it on a post it is fine too!! You can even take a photo from a phone or a digital device and then email it to me directly. | |
Parents: If you want to get more information on a book - author, summary, number of pages, reading level… Click on the title of the book to learn more info | |
