         Classic Bolt Action Match - 2020

The National Bolt Action Championship of the

New Zealand Service Rifle Association Inc.

All Shooters Welcome

Organised and hosted by the Auckland Service Rifle Association Inc at Clevedon Range, Maraetai Road (North Road), Clevedon on Sunday 22nd November 2020.  

There will be a Classic Service Class (S) for qualifying bolt action rifles (iron sights) as defined in SMC 5.0.  Other classes, Modern Bolt (M) and Open Class (O) may shoot and will be ranked, but only overall winner of the Service Class Bolt Action Rifle matches wins the NZSRA BAM Trophy and there will be medals for 1st 2nd and 3rd overall in Service Class, and 1st 2nd and 3rd Open Class and Modern Class.

Sunday 22nd November 2020  8.00 am to 5.30 pm

Matches –

100 m – all on Fig 12 target – Slings allowed

1) Trinity - 2 sighters then 3 series of 5 rounds in one minute each, standing, sitting/kneeling, prone.   17 shots

2) Action M (75 seconds).  Load 5 then 2 prone, 2 standing, 1 kneeling, reload 5, 1 kneeling, 2 standing, and 2 prone; 10 shots total.  Start 5 shots in magazine, in rifle, bolt open, shooter standing at back of mound.

3) Snap 100 standing.  10 shots – 10 x 3 second exposures, pause after 5 shots for reload

4) Rapid 100m.  10 shots, standing to kneeling, 60 secs.

300 m – all on B-type target – Prone fully supported weak hand must be between support and rifle. Open class may use bipod, no rear bags.

5) Application- prone, 10 rounds in 3 minutes  

6) Snap – prone, 10 exposures of 4 seconds. 10 shots

7) Rapid - prone, 10 rounds in 50 seconds.

300m to 100m all on B Type target – Support, as above for 300. Slings allowed at 200 and 100.

All shooters complete matches 1-7 then:

8) Walkdown 300 to 100:

Start at 300m, 5 rounds prone, 30secs.  Unload, Declare safe,

Walk to 200m, 5 rounds sitting, 30secs. Unload, Declare safe.

Walk to 100m, 5 rounds standing, 30 secs.   Unload, Declare Safe.

Walk straight to butts, score.  Change squads and repeat

Total rounds minimum (inc. sighters).  94

Prize-giving with barbeque at the range after shooting is finished.  

Entry fee $40 (Discount of $5 for ASRA and NZSRA) inc BBQ.  Includes range fees.  

Registration and scrutineering from 8 am.  Shooting from 9 am.
