Adjust the Chromebook Microphone Volume

If the microphone volume is too high or sensitive, follow these instructions to adjust the volume.

Note: Your Chromebook should be updated to version 85.0.4183.108 or higher.

Check your Chromebook version:

If your Chromebook needs to be updated, follow the on screen instructions to update your Chromebook. A restart may be required.

Adjust the Audio Settings

Once your Chromebook is updated to version 85.0.4183.108 or higher, you should see this option in the volume control:

Click on the arrow icon for volume to access the Audio Settings:

In Audio Settings, adjust the slider to change the level of microphone:
