We really care about your privacy, Thus why we are here to tell you what we do with your information or data. BD Police Helpline has been developed by Bangladesh Police. It allows citizens to submit their complaint or feedback directly to police.

What personal information does BD Police Helpline collect?

First, We believe in privacy. We are not really interested in what you do or do not do with the application. Your information is fully private and we have no interest in that. However, we do collect information analytics to improve user experience, those are anonymous data. Additionally app receives complaints/feedback/message from you which has been used to analyze by us to resolve your issues.

We do not access any device data or app history. As we are not storing those data and/or app data will be lost if you uninstall the app and reinstall in a new/same device.

This data protection declaration serves to provide information on the type of data collected, stored and processed by Bangladesh Police on the account of "BD Police Helpline" application and on how it guarantees the protection and security of personal data.

  1. Basic information

Unless otherwise stated in the following sections, no personal data is collected, processed or used when using our app.

When you access our App, our Web servers automatically collect general information. This includes the type of operating system used, the domain name of the Internet service provider.

This data cannot be used by us to identify the individual user. We only evaluate the information statistically and use it exclusively to improve the attractiveness, contents and functionalities of our app.

From “My Post” section you can submit a post/complaint/feedback/message to us. That is they key feature of the application. Through this information we serve citizens like you. Based on this information we may investigation through local thana. So, by giving such information (except anonymous) you are agreed to allow us to use this information for our investigation to resolve your problem. Apart from this reason you information will be secure and safe. After successful completion of any issue, we may publish it to message section so that other people can see the success rate and feel encouraged to submit this issue. Additionally you can submit issue anonymously, in that case will share your name and a contact number in the message section. You complain will be shared anonymously.

  1. Legal basis for the collection processing of personal data

Insofar as we obtain your consent for the processing of personal data, it serves as the legal basis for the processing of your personal data. Please note that any consent in relation to collecting, processing, preserving and sharing your personal information/data will be deemed to be a valid consent conferring legal authority under section 26 of Digital Security Act, 2018.

When processing your personal data to fulfil a contract between you and BD Police Helpline, your consent serves as the legal basis. This also applies to processing operations that are necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures.

If sharing of your data is necessary to safeguard a legitimate interest of national interest or our company and if the interests, fundamental rights e.g. right of life and personal liberty guaranteed under the Constitution of Bangladesh and freedoms of the data subject do not outweigh the first-mentioned interest serves as the legal basis for processing and sharing of your personal data.

  1. Data erasure and storage time

The personal data of the person concerned will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage ceases to apply. The data will also be blocked or deleted if a storage period prescribed by the terms and conditions expires, unless there is a need for further storage of the data for the conclusion or fulfilment of a contract with your prior approval.

After deletion of your account, your data will be blocked for further use, unless you have given your separate consent for further use. If the preservation of your personal data is not required by law, this data will be deleted unless you have expressly consented to further use.
