This week, we’d like to encourage all hawks to accept events, situations, and people as they are without trying to judge or change them. When feeling negative emotions, define them by telling yourself, “I am feeling ___(blank)___,” and state the emotion. Be at peace with the fact that everything is temporary and it will pass.

Attention students! Are you interested in getting community service hours while learning more from a USC student in graduate school? If so, come sign up for our "Meet a College Grad" event hosted by USC representatives at our very own HAWKINS HIGH SCHOOL! The event will be held at the MPR on Tuesday, April 9th from 1:30-3pm. This is event is open to all 9-12th graders from all three schools. Speak with Ms. Rossoni at the CHAS Office to sign up!

In case you didn’t know, hawks, this Monday there will be no school because of Cesar Chavez Day. The holiday celebrates the birth and legacy of the civil rights and labor movement activist Cesar Chavez on March 31 every year. Cesar Chavez Day is a day of service, so we hope all hawks will take that Monday to not only relax, but also complete one act of service, like picking up trash around your home, helping out your parents, or caring for a younger sibling.

En caso de que no lo sepan, halcones, este lunes no habrá clases debido al Día de César Chávez. La festividad celebra el nacimiento y legado del activista por los derechos civiles y del movimiento laboral César Chávez el 31 de marzo de cada año.
