They are Branch # 8, the largest branch. The mission of SIR is to improve the lives of their members through fun activities and events while making friends for life! They enjoyed last years Parade so much that they are here doing it again!

The San Ramon Valley Thunderbirds Football and Cheerleading programs exist For the Kids. They foster an environment that allows youth participants to learn football and cheerleading skills, practice good sportsmanship as part of a competitive team, build individual character and self-esteem, and engage in community - all while having fun in being part of T-Bird Pride. The San Ramon Valley Thunderbirds have a long and proud history in the Valley. They are, in fact, the oldest youth organization in the area.They are proud of their Thunderbird' history. However, the most important results are not those of the past, from games played and impressive scores, but the tangible characteristics T-Bird girls and boys take with them when they leave the field. The competition a Thunderbird faces is not unlike the competition of life, and he/she will be better prepared for having been a Thunderbird.

Canine Companions for Independence is a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships. The dogs serve as hearing dogs, facility dogs for hospitals and schools and skilled companions.

San Ramon Valley CERT (Community Emergency Response Team)

The Fire District is well prepared to handle everyday emergencies. However, during a disaster, the number and scope of incidents will likely far exceed its ability to provide effective emergency services. The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program is centered around an all-risk, all-hazard training course. This valuable course is designed to help you protect yourself, your family, your neighbors and your neighborhood in an emergency situation. CERT is a positive and realistic approach to emergency and disaster preparedness where citizens will learn to take independent actions that are critical to a successful outcome. While people will respond to others in need without training, the CERT course is designed to help them do so safely and effectively. The CERT program is governed by the San Ramon Valley Emergency Preparedness Citizen Corps Council which includes the San Ramon Valley Fire, San Ramon Valley School District, City of San Ramon, Town of Danville and the Contra Costa County.

Cub Scout Pack 815 is based out of Greenbrook Elementary School. Pack 815 is dedicated to the development of character, citizenship, and physical and mental fitness in its member scouts. Pack 815 provides the opportunity for leadership development and the learning of skills in a variety of areas in an outdoor environment. The Pack offers young men a chance to explore and learn about leadership, integrity, communicating and being a productive member of a team.

Here are members of the San Ramon Valley Democratic Club who come together to support and promote progressive, social and political principles that have always been essential to the Democratic Party. Their members are in the community at the Danville Farmer's Market. They register people to vote, walk door to door to educate voters, and raise money for candidate' campaigns. They meet once a month on the 4th Thursday at the Crow Canyon Country Club with speakers who include elected officials and those chosen for their expertise on specific topics, including professors from UC Berkeley, UC Hastings College of Law, and engineers from the Lawrence Livermore Laboratories. Come join them for stimulating discussions and the opportunity to connect with Democrats from Danville, San Ramon, Walnut Creek and Alamo.

The East Bay Regional Park District's Volunteer Trail Safety Patrol has over 160 non-sworn volunteers who act as the eyes and ears of the District's over 121,000 acres of parkland throughout Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. Blue Star Moms, San Francisco East Bay Chapter

The Blue Star Moms is a Veteran Services Organization which was established in Danville in November 2001. Blue Star Moms is a chapter under the national organization of Blue Star Mothers of America. Blue Star Mothers of America which was founded in Flint, Michigan on February 1, 1942 when over 300 mothers of service members attend the first meeting. On February 6th the organization was reported on Congressional record. Chapters then formed in Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, New York, Pennsylvania, Oregon, California, Iowa and Washington. In June of 1960 the organization was chartered by congress. The Blue Star mission is to support our country's active service members, veterans, Gold Star families and military families. Their members have sons and daughters who serve or have served honorably in the Armed Forces of the United States of America.

Mt Diablo Post 246 celebrates American Legion's Centennial, 100 years of veterans serving veterans, active duty military, families and the community. They proudly sponsor Boy Scout Troops 60 & 888 as well as Cub Scout Packs 995 & 997. With them are many of their Legion Boys and Girls State delegates, our leaders of tomorrow. Viet Nam Veterans Of Diablo Valley

The Viet Nam Veterans of Diablo (VNVDV) is a Veterans Service Organization (VSO) established in 1992. The organization's motto "Proudly We Served" is indicative of the organization's belief in their service to our Country and our Veterans. Their Country asked them to fight in an unpopular war and they did their duty, with honor. Today, they march in this Parade to celebrate our Country's 243rd birthday and to commemorate the 51st anniversary of the Vietnam War.

Joining the VNVDV is the US Marine Corps Color Guard, from the San Francisco Recruiting Station, the the Anne Loucks (LOWKS) Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), carrying the Garrison US. Flag, the Scouts BSA, Troop 805, and the UH-1H "Huey" helicopter, escorted by the Warrior Watch Riders, Northern California Chapter. The UH1-H, "Huey" helicopter, is the iconic symbol of the Vietnam War and those Veterans who served there.

Eden Aoba Taiko was formed in 1997 to promote the Japanese music art of Taiko drumming under the direction of Masa Fukuizumi. They believe that Taiko is for everyone, no matter what your age. The Wheelchair Foundation is a local nonprofit which delivers, Hope, Mobility and Freedom to those all over the world who are in need of a wheelchair but cannot afford one! Representing the foundation’s From the Heart School Program, are co-founders, Don Routh, his son Josh Routh and local students who participate in fundraising and travel in order to distribute wheelchairs in many Latin American countries as depicted by the flags you see on each wheelchair. This summer they are traveling to Colombia!

The Rock Workshop

The Rock Workshop is a music class that encourages creativity and builds community among people of all backgrounds and skill levels. Bands rehearse under the guidance of innovative music teachers and perform at local venues. The Workshop has two bands performing this morning; Horizon and Jupiter Days. Horizon plays a wide range of music from classic rock to their own original indie pop, while Jupiter Days explores the music of funk legends such as James Brown, George Clinton, and Chaka Khan.

This is a combination of Girl Scout Daisy Troop 32952 and Girl Scout Brownie Troop 30452. Troop 32952 is co-lead by Breck Schubb and Jeannine Carlberg and Troop 30452 is lead by Breck Schubb. The girls in both troops are learning how to give back to their communities and make the world a better place. They all attend Montair Elementary School.

Please welcome California State Senator Steve Glazer. Senator Glazer represents almost 1 Million residents in the 7th Senate District. Elected four years ago, Senator Glazer is an often-seen friendly face in our Town. Riding in his care is his wife, Melba. They have two daughters who have gone through our wonderful public schools. Senator Glazer is honored to represent our District and will continue to work to improve the Quality of Life for all residents of the 7th Senate District. Cub Scout Pack 842 consists of boys and girls from the Montevideo Elementary School community and neighborhood in San Ramon. Their scouts work together on adventures to complete rank badges that teach them important life skills and serve their community by helping with the school carnival, cleanup along the Iron Horse Trail, and collecting food donations for local food banks.

Danville d Elegance Foundation

Danville d Elegance will celebrate its 15th year raising funds for Parkinson's research and patient care. The Foundation as donated over 6.5 million dollars to fighting the disease. It is run by a team of 100% volunteer people, none are compensated for their time. All funds raised are donated every year. They want to a thank Cole European Jaguar Land Rover for their support that began with their very first year. Please come out and support Parkinson's the weekend of September 21 and 22. Boy Scout Troop 805

Troop 805 meets in Danville & are proud to be chartered by the Kiwanis Club of San Ramon Valley. They are a boy run Troop. The boys make the decisions on running the Troop, and the activities that they participate in. This teaches responsibility and develops leadership and planning skills. For the past 12 years, Troop 805 proudly volunteers with the parade sets up and distributes the trash and recycling receptacles along the parade route and helps with the clean up after the completion of the parade.

Danville Square Shopping Center is proud to support the Danville 4th of July Parade along with their merchants Trader Joe's and Rakestraw Books. Trader Joe's is your neighborhood grocery store and supports our community. They donated $800,000 of food last year! Rakestraw Books is "The Bookstore in Danville" and features author visits, book clubs and the "Where's Waldo" contest every July. Waldo joins the parade today!

San Ramon Valley High School Marching Wolves

The San Ramon Valley High School Marching Wolves are proud to present a volunteer "Pep" Band for this year's 4th of July parade. The band is under the direction of Mrs. Cheryl Yee Glass, the Director of the San Ramon Valley High School Instrumental Music Program. The band is led by Drum Major Grace Gilroy, who is assisted by Finn Fetherstonhaugh. Many of these musicians just returned from an overseas trip to Japan, where they participated in the Danville Music Ambassadors Japan Tour. They performed in Tokyo and Kyoto alongside students from Monte Vista High School and the host country.

They would like to thank our community for their continued support of instrumental music programs in our schools. They wish you a safe and happy 4th of July!

Memorial Squadron

The Memorial Squadron charity honors those who served in our military, living or deceased. The squadron performs missing man flyovers, flights for veterans, and supports various veteran events in the Bay area. Memorial flight consists of our 1956 United States Air Force T 34, that flew overhead today, and the NorCal Beech Boys, along with our US Army M923A2 five ton truck, nicknamed Bertha that is riding in the parade today. Happy Independence Day, America!

Danville Oaks Youth Rugby

The Danville Oaks Rugby Club mission is to continue to grow the game of rugby in the San Ramon Valley with their premium sponsor Callidus Cloud. Danville Oaks have 400 registered players from Under 8s to High School Varsity. The Oaks Varsity Boys are ranked 5th in the nation. The Junior Varsity Boys were named Rugby NorCal Premier Division Champions and the Boys Middle School team also won the Rugby NorCal Championship. Assistance League of Diablo Valley

Please welcome Assistance League Diablo Valley. Now, wave and give high fives to The Kids on the Block, an educational puppet program, one of nine philanthropic programs. Assistance League Diablo Valley, which is headquartered in Walnut Creek, celebrates over 50 years in Contra Costa County. Its programs, along with the primary fundraiser Assistance League Way Side Inn Thrift Shop in Lafayette, are supported by 450 volunteer members. Here is some of what they do: Operation School Bell: New clothes for over 6,000 schoolchildren every year, reading help, book donations, art classes and educational puppet shows; Scholarships: $185,000 awarded to Foster Youth, High School and Community College students this year - Community Needs: Musical revues and reassurance calls to Seniors, supplies for those in crisis and Foster Youth support; and Assisteens: A teenage auxiliary - hosting holiday parties for disadvantaged children and events at senior care facilities.

Air National Guard Band of the West Coast

The Air National Guard Band of the West Coast is composed of citizen-airmen serving in the military who render honor to our country and our Airmen; enhance Airman morale; and inspire patriotism and increase public awareness of the Air National Guard and the United States Air Force. The Air National Guard Band of the West Coast is part of the 146th Airlift Wing stationed at Channel Islands Air National Guard Station, in Ventura County. The 146th Airlift Wing's mission includes disaster response, humanitarian relief, and aerial firefighting around the state and nation. This summer, the Air National Guard Band of the West Coast is joined by the Air National Guard Band of the Southwest, stationed in Fort Worth, Texas. Under the command of Lieutenant Col Eric Patterson and Major Vu Nguyen, the combined bands are proud to represent the States of California and Texas, the Air National Guard, and the United States Air Force.

The Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano has been serving the community for over 40 years. They provided food to more than 178,000 hungry people in need every month and distributed over 20 million pounds last year. Friends of Beth Batchelor

Beth Batchelor, a local Alamo artist, is turning 102 years old on July 30. In 1977 Beth founded the Alamo Danville Artists' Society, and the Contra Costa Academy of Fine Art in 2001. She has been teaching art locally since moving to Alamo in 1970. Beth says, "if you can draw a cat, you've accomplished a lot". She now focuses on painting portraits, but she has also trained in commercial art. Beth and her husband Steve married in 1960. They continue to live independently in their home in Alamo. School of Rock San Ramon is a performance-based music school serving ages 5 through adult. They teach their students how to play their instruments by putting on rock shows. The group performing today is the House Band, Liar's Dice, made up of their most advanced students, ages 12-17. They will be leaving next week to go on tour to Portland and Seattle. They will be playing iconic venues with other School of Rock students from around the world. School of Rock understands that the best and most fun way to learn music is to start playing with others right away. We are Tri Valley Quarter Midget Association located in Livermore. We are a non profit organization where kids ages 5-17 get to drive quarter size sprint cars on a 1/20th of a mile paved race track. These cars reach speeds up to 55 mph with up to 2 lateral G-forces. Professional race car drivers such as Jeff Gordon, Joey Logano, and Kyle Larson all got their start in a quarter midget. 1915 Ford Model T - Radzanowski Family

This is a 1915 Model T Touring Car owned by the Radzanowski family of San Ramon. It has 30 inch wooden spoke wheels and with it's Flathead four cylinder 20 horsepower motor, it has a top speed of 48 miles per hour. It cost $495 dollars new and came in one color, black.

Stan's Roadrunner

Stan Gibson's 1973 Roadrunner. This car was purchased new by Stan's parents in 1973. Stan acquired it from them in 1976. He has fully restored it to original show-room condition and the car has its original "beep beep" horn and four speed pistol-grip Hurst shifter. It has 110,000 total miles on the odometer.
