Activity B: Pick a 2 digit number of your choice and show 10 ways to represent this number on the paper provided. For example, tally marks, addition or subtraction problems, show base ten blocks, etc.

Activity A: Read the passage Get Ready for Winter.  Complete the compare and contrast questions.

Activity B: Complete 30 minutes of ELA on Freckle or iXL, and read a book of your choice for 15 minutes.

Activity A: Answer the comprehension questions that go with the passage Get Ready for Winter.  Use complete sentences, capitalization, and punctuation.  

Activity B: Write a 5 sentence paragraph about the animal that you have researched today for Science.

Activity A: Research online and find information involving an animal of your choice that lives in a cold environment.

  • Write 3 - 5 facts about this animal.

Activity B: Use resources found in your home such as books/stories, newspapers, magazines, parent/guardian interview, etc. to write 3 - 5 facts about animal of your choice that lives in a cold environment.

Activity A: Visit artforkidshub.com.  Scroll down and choose one of the How to Draw tasks. Follow the drawing instructions.  Draw a picture of your choice on a sheet of unlined paper.  Color in your finished drawing.

Activity B:. Complete one of the step-by-step drawing instructions included in your packet. Complete the drawing on the sheet of unlined paper included. Color your drawing.  

Activity C: Paint on the snow…… Mix a packet of kool-aid (or use food coloring) in a spray or squirt bottle with warm water and draw a picture on the snow.

Activity A: Find a picture online of the animal chosen from Day #1 and paste in a Google Doc. Give a description of how the animal moves, gathers food, and survives in its habitat. Then share the document with his/her teacher.

Activity A: With a parent’s help, join the Quaver Street classroom by creating an account at www.QuaverMusic.com and entering the appropriate Class Code:

Once on Quaver Street, click the doorway that says “Kids Enter Here.”  Click “SongBrush” at the bottom right corner, and create three compositions.  Save them using the “File” menu at the bottom of the screen.

Activity B: Using your best singing voice, sing “Snail, Snail”, “Frog in the Meadow”, and “Engine, Engine # 9” to a family member, pet, or stuffed animal.  Then, sing again while tapping the steady beat.  Finally, sing all three songs while clapping the rhythm of the words.  Explain to your audience how the steady beat and rhythm of the words are different.
