The Jake Millar ‘Young Entrepreneur’ Scholarship 2018

BACKGROUND 

Jake Millar attended Grey Main School from 2000-2008.

The scholarship is to assist any student enrolled at Grey Main School in 2018 who wishes to undertake an entrepreneurial project.

It will be awarded to the most deserving two students ($1000 each) based on both commitment and entrepreneurial ideas so to develop their potential in entrepreneurship.

The scholarship will be awarded as the whole sum or broken down into smaller amounts and deposited into the learners account once reporting has been completed.

CONDITIONS  

  1. The holder of the scholarship will be required to prove their ability and skill in developing a business plan which will include:

(a)  A personal statement

(b)  A description of the product

(c)  A business plan

(d)  Financial Statement/Budget

(e)  A production plan and timeline

(f)   Quality performance plan

(g)  A marketing plan

(h)  Two referees reports

(i)  An endorsement from the parents/parent

(j)  3 monthly reporting to the principal and board of trustees in the first year of business.

THE SELECTION AND REVIEW COMMITTEE will consist of:

           

(i) BOT member

(ii) Principal

(iii) A member of Senior Leadership Team

(iv) Jake Millar via Google Hangout

AWARD:

The two recipients will be announced at the School Concert on Monday 17 December 2018 and receive up to the value of $1000 immediately or in installments dependent on the business plan and reporting requirements.

Applications close:                            29 November 2018

Interviews:                                           4-7 December 2018

Successful Recipients Announced: 17 December 2018
