Working Together As A District: SCAP Highlights
*Over 30 teachers, principals, superintendents and CDE representatives participated in our two day SCAP site review.
*Reported by reviewers that participated in last years one day site review that there was a different and more upbeat, more positive feel throughout the entire district.
*It was noted that the the work done by the Holyoke School Board to align their board goals with SCAP goals is outstanding and they are excited to see the superintendent's, principal's goals aligned to them and teacher evaluations to have mention of them also in the near future.
*Parent, student survey feedback along with teacher, parent and student feedback groups indicated that students felt overwhelming welcomed and accepted by students, teachers, and community when they are new to our district.
*Teacher survey and teacher focus group feedback indicate that the attempts to provide staff with Social Emotional and Trauma Informed professional development or trainings has been appreciated and there is a desire to continue with further opportunities.
Kindergarten Round Up April 25 & 26th
There will be NO kindergarten students at school on April 25th and 26th due to our Kindergarten Round Up. During Kindergarten Round Up, we will be meeting our upcoming kindergarten students and doing activities that will involve the current kindergarten teachers for the full two days. We are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause for those who have a kindergarten student and we appreciate your help and understanding.

Next Year - Letter to Mrs. Kammer
As a school district and school, we are committed to educating each and every student to realize his or her full potential, become a responsible and productive citizen, and a lifelong learner. In carrying out this mission, we value and encourage your input into your child’s education. As we begin to work on class lists for next school year, please know our staff works hard to make sure we place students with the teacher that works best with your child as well as make sure students who do not work well together are separated. We value your input into your child’s classroom placement. If you would like, please write a letter to me addressing one or more of the following points.
If you choose to write a letter, please submit it to me by Friday, April 12th, 2019. Please note that letters submitted after this time frame will not be considered within our class placement procedures. Also understand if your child is in 5th or 6th grade your child will rotate between classrooms throughout the day.
Thank you for your partnership in the education of your child.

Activities and Athletic Events Home and Away
If you and your family are attending an event at the school please make sure your child is with you at all times. Students should be sitting in the seats, bleachers, or stands with their parents and not running around, playing on the equipment, playing in the commons area, or other areas.
Thank you for helping make sure all kids are safe during events and activities.
