1. Have you ever looked at yourself in the mirror and thought that you  are too fat ,thin or ugly.  Well,I have but I am pretty sure that I am not the only one who has done that because did you know that Walt Disney,the famous guy tried to change himself.  Hello everyone, my name is Abhilasha, today I will tell you about the way we look and think about ourselves.
  1. Do you know that lots of people think that they are nothing compared to  other people and so they start thinking bad things about themselves like: that they are too fat/thin/,short ugly,useless and  not unique.  And when they do that, they start to try and change themselves , their culture and sometimes even their names just to look cool like the other kids.  Did you know that some kids and adults commit suicide because they are tired of hearing or thinking
  1. bad things about themselves. When people start thinking bad things about themselves they get stressed and are very upset they start thinking about the problem and soon they don’t even notice what is going on around them.   They stop paying attention to their work and even stop talking to people. 6,078 people die each year because of this problem.  Woah!,that’s a lot isn’t it?

  1. Now that you know what some people tend to think about themselves,I’ll tell you what they do to change themselves.  First of all they will change the way they look then they will change their personalities.  Soon they will change their cultures.  Finally ,they are a whole new person and they are not like themselves anymore.    

  1. I used to have a friend who did the same thing and now they are a whole new person. but now they are not the kind of person I used to know. They used to laugh at every single thing. And now my friend is a person who is always sad and has complaints at every moment.  They are sad because they say they are constantly called mean things at school.  So to change that they changed themselves.  
  1. I know you might be thinking that this is like bullying and yes you are right this is bullying except here you are bullying yourself.  What do you think my friend could have done to solve this problem instead? I  think my friend could have: talked to an adult and told them what was going on  because from my experiences I think talking to someone makes you feel better, always.
  1. Put your hand up if you think you know someone who did the same thing.  So please never ever try to change yourself just because someone said something bad about you.  That’s all I wanted to say to you all and I hope that it wasn’t too long for you.    Just remember, don’t ever be afraid to show who you really are, because as long as you are happy with yourself no one else’s opinion matters.
