Dear Parents, Guardians, and Community Members:
Leedey FCCLA would like to help our farming neighbors in Nebraska who have been hit hard by the recent blizzards and floods. We remember how farmers trucked loads of hay and fencing supplies to our community after the fires last April, so we want to help the farmers in Nebraska by buying bags of feed for them. Every Wednesday, between now and the end of school, kids can help raise money by paying a dollar to wear a cap that day.
Benji and Lori White will match the money donated by our Leedey kids and then will deliver the bags of feed to farmers in Nebraska. Blaine, Benji and Lori’s son, heard his parents discussing how they could help the disaster victims and told his parents he wanted to help. The cap donation fundraiser is one way we thought we could help Blaine do that. Furthermore, Livestock Nutrition in Guthrie has committed to selling bagged feed at below cost for $200 a ton (40 bags of feed).
Wednesday dates to pay $1.00 and wear caps:
April 17 and 24 May 1, 8, and 15
Donations beyond the caps are appreciated and checks can be made payable to Leedey Schools or Leedey FCCLA with a memo that it is for the Nebraska fundraiser.
Thank you in advance for your support and help!
