FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT DONATING FOOD/PERSONAL CARE ITEMS
You can drop off items at FISH (6 Garden Center) on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8 am – 4:30 pm and Thursdays between 8 am – 12 pm using the EAST SIDE donation door. Just be sure to find someone to weigh in your donation and record it at our kiosk.
If you do not need a receipt, you can drop off non-perishable items in the bins at any Broomfield King Soopers!

Yes, we can accept certain food items past their expiration or best by date.
Yes! We can accept shampoo, conditioner, body wash/soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, feminine hygiene products, toilet paper, diapers (adult and infant), and baby wipes.
We cannot accept vitamins, supplements, or other medicinal products.
Yes! We can accept produce grown in your garden.
We cannot accept food that has been processed in a home kitchen. Food donations must be in their original packaging.
We cannot accept food that has been cooked or processed in a home kitchen.
Yes, as long as it is in its original packaging.
We do accept donations of baby formula. It must be unopened, in its original packaging, and cannot be past its expiration date.
We are unable to accept donations of clothing or toys. We recommend reaching out to A Precious Child in Broomfield or Sister Carmen in Lafayette.
Our partner WeeCycle accepts new and gently used essential baby gear and clothing. Learn more here.
We do not accept backpacks and school supplies. If you would like to help Broomfield families with back-to-school materials, we recommend connecting with A Precious Child and participating in their Fill A Backpack program.
We are currently overwhelmed with books in our reception area, and do not need anymore for the time being.
Yes, we can accept pet food.
Yes, we can accept it if the box is opened, as long as each of the items are individually wrapped in their original packaging.
Yes, we can take left-over Halloween candy that is individually wrapped in its original packaging.
We do not have a program for Thanksgiving or Christmas dinners and we do not provide cooked meals for participants. With our choice-model marketplace, families can come and shop for the items they want to prepare a holiday meal. We do have holiday-themed shelves and we do provide turkeys and hams (frozen). If you would like to donate ingredients or food items for holiday meals, including frozen turkeys or hams, we would greatly appreciate it.
We also do not accept or distribute toys or holiday gifts. We recommend reaching out to our partner organization A Precious Child to help with their Precious Gift program.
