May 2019

Dear Middle School Families,

The end of the school year is traditionally an extremely busy time and this year is no exception. To accommodate our final exams, the last day of classes for all middle school students will be Monday, June 17. From Tuesday, June 18 through Monday, June 24, we will be following a special schedule. A copy of  the May and June calendars are enclosed in this mailing.  Please look it over closely with your child to make sure they are aware of their obligations.

Sixth and seventh graders are scheduled to take their final exams on June 19 and 21. On those days, students will arrive at school at the regular time and then be dismissed at 10:45 a.m. (Bus service will be provided.)

Eighth graders must come in on different days depending on the Regents or final exams they will be taking and any review sessions their teachers have planned. Our annual Moving Up ceremony will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, with mandatory student rehearsals scheduled during the school day on June 14 and 17.

Please also note that seventh and eighth grade students scheduled to take the required Checkpoint A examination in Spanish or French must come to their exam Monday, June 24 at 8:00 am.

If you have any further questions about the end of the year, please call me at (631) 725-5302 ext. 707 or email me at bcarriero@sagharborschools.org.

Sincerely,

Brittany Carriero
Principal
