City Dance & Music seeks Children & Teen Dance Teachers for 2025-26
The season starts: August 15th
Position Summary:
Our school is hiring for multiple teaching positions for children & teen classes!
We are interested in meeting teachers who possess a strong background in pedagogy and who design technique classes that are rooted in injury prevention, dance history, and bodily awareness.
Vacancies:
- Children’s Early Education and Pre-Ballet
Those who inquire should have experience in teaching small children, including toddlers. Must have either Tues/Thursday availability from 3:30p - 6p OR Saturday availability from 9a - 12p.
- Children and/or Teen Hip-Hop
Those who inquire should have experience in teaching small children. Must have either Thursday availability from 4:30p - 6:30p AND/OR Saturday availability from 11:30a - 1:30p
- Children’s Ballet
Those who inquire should have experience in teaching children ages 7-9 yo. Must have either Thursday availability from 4:30p - 6:30p AND/OR Saturday availability from 11:30a - 1:30p
Qualifications:
- Experience in teaching children ages 3 - 16, required
- At least 2 years of previous teaching experience, required
- BA/BFA in Dance or a Performing Arts degree with a Dance concentration, preferred
- Ability to teach more than one genre of dance, required
Salary Range:
$25 - $45/hour, commensurate with experience and classes being taught
