Attendance: A Key to Success

Every day counts!  By making your child's school attendance a priority, you will be taking an important step in supporting your child's school success, and setting a good example.  Your child is expected to be in the classroom when the bell rings, ready to begin their day.  We recommend that your child be at school no later than 8:30 a.m.

Parent Responsibilities – Parents are legally responsible from the age 6 until age 18 (ED CODE 48200).Parents of absent students are expected to call on the day of the absence, preferably no later than one hour after the start of school. If no contact is made to the school within 48 hours of the start of the absence, the absence will be considered TRUANT and the student will need to attend Saturday STEP UP program.

Student Responsibilities – Students are expected to attend all classes daily and on time.  All students must be processed through the Attendance Office when arriving more than 30 minutes late to school or when leaving early.

Notification of Absence to Parent/Guardian: We will attempt to notify you daily by phone or voice-mail whenever your child is absent from school. Your child’s safety and attendance are essential and we ask that you please ensure the school has your current home and work phone numbers at all times.

Asistencia: la clave del éxito

¡cada día cuenta!Al hacer de la asistencia escolar de su hijo una prioridad, ustedes tomarán el importante paso en apoyar el éxito escolar de su hijo y de poner un buen ejemplo. Se espera que su hijo se encuentre en el salón de clase cuando suene la campana, listo para empezar su día. Recomendamos que su hijo esté en la escuela a más tardar a las 8:30 a.m. 

Responsabilidades de los padres – Los padres son legalmente responsables desde 6 a 18 años de edad (CÓDIGO EDUCATIVO 48200). Se tiene la expectativa que los padres de estudiantes que se ausentan llamen a la escuela el día de la ausencia, preferentemente a más tardar una hora después de empezar el día escolar. Si no llaman a la escuela en el plazo de 48 horas de empezar la ausencia, se considerará AUSENTE INJUSTIFICADO y el estudiante deberá asistir al programa STEP UP de los sabados.

Responsabilidades de los estudiantes – La expectativa es que los estudiantes asistan a todas las clases y a tiempo. La Oficina de Asistencia procesa a todos los estudiantes que llegan más de 30 minutos tarde a la escuela o cuando salen temprano.

Notificación de Ausencia a los Padres/Tutores: Intentaremos notificarles diariamente por teléfono o contestador automático siempre que su hijo se ausenta de la escuela. La seguridad de su hijo y asistencia son esenciales y les pedimos que ustedes por favor aseguren que la escuela tiene sus números de teléfono de casa y del trabajo actualizados todo el tiempo.
