The service industry in State College would normally be working overtime this week and for the rest of the semester. However with Penn State moving classes on-line, events being cancelled and all bars and eat-in restaurants being mandated to close, our favorite servers, bartenders and other industry workers are not working or working on reduced hours. These are the people who have given us free drinks, comped a meal, let you skip the line and been pretty awesome on a daily basis. Tip what you can to help our local industry workers. If you don't see your favorite service industry folks listed, encourage them to come and fill out the form (see below). Please circulate widely.

Like everywhere else in Pennsylvania, all bars, restaurants, and other non-essential businesses in State College have been mandated to close. Many of our friends and neighbors depend on tips to make ends meet. This virtual tip jar is for local service industry staff - employees at bars, restaurants, salons, etc - to post their Venmo or Paypal information so that customers, neighbors, State College community members and Penn State alumni can tip their favorite bar and restaurant staff even when they can't see them in person.
